Overall reaction - *Sigh* They gave us a pamphlet with "Spring Trends", we don't receive everything mentioned on it.  I wish they did because it was just a big tease.  Seriously, I was pretty disappointed when I received Vichy samples since I know you can get those for free at Shoppers or Rexall if you just ask.  It's not the product, I love Vichy, but paying for the sample is disappointing.  *Double Sigh* The blending sponge reminds me of Sonia Kashuk Sponge sold only in Target (US).  Too bad it was not the Beauty Blender.  At least there was a lip balm (Mereadesso), which I love - maybe it is my addiction talking.  Basing on the box on Mereadesso, Blue Lagoon, and Lancome it is not a bad box.  Two more boxes to go...do I continue with my subscription or cancel...

April 2012 Luxe Box by Loosebutton

I was excited to receive this month's box.
I was very curious to see what was in this first in line (FIL) selection.
I am not a big fan of FIL.  I think it creates trouble, problems, and issues.
I don't mind it once in awhile.

I saw something interesting on FIL.
I selected Panty by Post.
I was about to request nail polish but I thought why not try something fun and interesting.
My only concern is the size...hope it fits...
Panty by Post is a subscription where you receive panties in the mail each month... :0
I think it is a neat idea but it starts at $30 a pop but if you sign for a 3, 6, or 12 months subscription the cost per pair decreases.
Once in awhile they had a promotion for new customers where a single panty cost $10 (taxes & shipping included)

I will review on the panty when it arrives within 1-2 weeks as per Loosebutton.
However, on Panty's facebook page they mentioned that they sent most of the shipment on April 26th - I cant wait!!

Surprise!
Just received mine this morning and I was not expecting it.
I was wondering what happened to my tracking number and I received it in the evening...LOL
I was just thinking about this box this morning.  Hahaha

This month is Loosebutton's first birthday...Happy Birthday.

This month's box:

Kerastase - hair mask

This hair mask is alot of work.  First after I towel dry my clean hair, I am suppose to put on the product, wrap it in hot towel, leave it for 5 mins and then wash.  Once I have the chance to try this I wont be purchasing this product.  I don't have the time to jump in and out and back into the shower with two kiddies in the house.

DDF - cream
Full size 48g @ $140, sample size 14g @ $40.83
This product was in others previous month's box.  I cant believe that this sample is worth $40+.  I hope I don't fall in love with it because I can't afford it.

Cargo - Glitter Top Coat
Full size 2.8g @ $18 = sample size
This was my first in line pick.  I didn't like the selections they had.  They were OK.  I missed out on the eye shadow...not sure if I am happy about it or not. :)  Don't put this on the bottom eye lid...it burned...maybe I did it wrong.

Didn't I mentioned that they have to hold back on the perfume samples?  It is getting too much.  Now I have alot more perfume samples than before.  I even gave them "feedback" on their last "survey".  I guess they dont read them...so what is the point of filling out one?

It smells OK.  I have used other Joico hair product before so I don't mind trying this one.

DKNY: Pure DKNY Verbena

I dont like the smell.  It is too blah.  I like the CK more since it came in a rollerball than a little bottle.  I am starting to built a sample collection of perfumes samples...it is getting a bit out of hand.

Mereadesso: Beautiful Body Balm

I like the smell.  It almost smells like it has some citrus in it.  It is a great size for my purse but I don't think I will be repurchasing this since it is too expensive.

Lise Watier: 24 Hours Glam Mascara

It is a good size sample.  I like the animal print on the container.  I also have a growing collection of mascara.

I am not sure what the Valentine's Day surprise is.  On Facebook, people were guessing chocolates, message oils, red lipstick, red nail polish, and I guessed gift certificates to La Senza or Victoria Secret.  So, I don't think there was a surprise.  I don't think a red box would be considered a surprise...does it?  Very strange.

Once again I missed out on some good items.  I have read some people received the Benefit's Sunbeam (golden bronze highlighter) and Dermalogical's Daily Microfoliant.  Hopefully, I might get something similar in my next month's box.

January 2012 Luxe Box

It is the end of the month and their January Luxe box finally came.

This is my 5th box - I have their September, October, November, and December box.
My favourite box is the November so far.

When I picked up the box the first thing I noticed is it's bigger.
There were two boxes inside!
I was so excited to open it.

The first box (black box):

Yves Rocher: Rouge Dragee Lipstick
Full size 3.5g @ $5 ($4.95 as per their website) = sample size
It is OK.  I am not a big fan of lip stick.  I am more of a lip gloss/lip balm person.  It is smooth when I put it on.  It is more orangy than red on me.  This was in other subscriber's previous month box.

NYX: Eye shadow
Full size 2.5g @ $5 = sample size
The colour I have is Dust Sparkle.  It is very light.  I have lots of glittery eye shadow.  Too bad it was not a solid colour.  Last month I received their black eye liner, you can read it here.

Chloe: Eau De Parfume
Full Size 50ml @ $90 = sample size 5ml @ $9
It came in a cute little bottle.  This was another product from previous month box.  I am not a big fan of this perfume.  My husband didn't like it on me.  He found it too strong.  :(

Chi: Silk Fusion
Full size 180ml @ $33 = sample size 15ml @ $2.75
It came in a tiny bottle and it might last me 3 or 4 washes since I have long hair.  It has a oily texture like any other hair product.  I think I have seen this product before???  I can't remember.

Bonus - Seattle's Best Coffee
Full size 340g @ $9.99 = sample size 56g @ $1.65
Plus a $1 off coupon
I don't drink coffee and my husband prefers either Starbucks or Tim Horton's.  Will have to give this away to either my mom or my sister in-law.   :(

The second box (white box):

I received a 5 blade Schick Hydro Silk razor that is worth $13.99 plus it came with $4 off coupon for replacement blades.  I think this is nice but unfortunately I have a collection of razors...don't ask me why.
Too bad it didn't come with free sample of shaving gel but it came with Fekkai Advance Shampoo and Conditioner sample.  If I purchase them at Shoppers Drug Mart I received 8,000 points which is worth $10 (I think).  I am not a big fan with these shampoo samples - only good for one wash.  I consider this cheapo sample :) .  I like the travel size and once in awhile I get them for free.  I will estimate the sample might be worth $2.00.

The worth of this box is approximately $39+

Overall, I am depressed receiving this box because I could not get one of the Benefit cosmetic they had available.  I was not chained to my computer so I didn't get the email until later that evening.  By then all the samples were gone.  :(  I was one of the unfortunate ones who lucked out & I wanted to cry...Boo

Yves Rocher: cream - full size 50mL @ $52 (on sale $28.50); sample 15mL @ $15.60 (on sale $8.58)
This cream smells wonderful.  I don't usually buy anything from Yves Rocher but this is a nice treat.
It is not too greasy and it is great for the winter when my skin gets really dry.

Moroccan Oil: Hairspray - full size 300mL @ $24; sample 75mL @ $6
This is to replace last month Moroccan Oil hair cream because it expired in March.  I don't use hair spray so I will most likely give it away.

Moroccan Oil: Shampoo - full size 240 mL @ $22; sample 70mL @ $6.42
This is an extra treat #1 because of the expired product they have given to us.  I can't wait to try it.

Moroccan Oil: Conditioner - full size 240 mL @ $21; sample 70mL @ $6.13
Extra treat #2 because of the expired product they have given to us.  Conditioners do not last long for me.  I have long hair so I hope I can get enough sample to try it for a few washes.

Nina Ricci: L'Air - full size 50 mL @ $72; sample 1.2mL @ $1.73
This smell so nice.  I believe this is more for a night on the town.  My husband thinks it smells like Christmas.  I think it smells like the forest/trees...so I guess that is why my husband thinks it smells like Christmas.

Nina Ricci: L'Elixir - full size 50 mL @ $65; sample 1.2mL @ $1.56
This has a fruitier smeller.  I think this is great during the day.  My husband like this one more.

NYX: eye pencil - full size 1 g @ $4 = sample - Yeah
Black is great.  It goes with everything.  I found NYX is very popular and in Canada you can only purchase it in selected drug store - usually in Rexall/Pharma Plus.  I am glad to get to try this because this is my first product by NYX.

Don't forget the limited edition chocolate coin with their logo on it.  That was gone in seconds.

So the total value of this month's box is $41+ (includes regular price Yves Rocher & last month product replacement.)

November Luxe Box Review

I was so happy to find my November Luxe Box yesterday afternoon.

So this is what I received:

Lise Watier - eye glitter liner

I can't wait to try this.  Just in time for the holidays.  I am going to a birthday party this weekend and I will be putting this on.

Pur Minerals - foundation primer

I know some people has already received this one in the previous box but I have always wanted to try a product by Pur Minerals so I can't wait.  One of my friends raves about Pur Minerals so I hope I will like it.

Moroccan Oil - styling cream

I am not sure what this is.  Cream for your hair?  Is it like styling gels or leave in conditioner for your hair?  It is nice and light.  So it is like a leave in conditioner.

Benefit Cosmetics - moisture prep toning lotion

A cool sample of Benefit Cosmetics.  I see this all the time when I go into Sephora but never sure if I should buy it.  I love the bottle.  It is so small and cute!  Don't throw it out once you are done.  You can re-use it or re-fill it and put it your purse/suitcase/gym bag/locker/nap sack, etc...

Teaopia - cactus fig tea

** The Bonus** I love tea.  I drink it every day.  I love Teaopia, especially the samples they give out in front of the store.  I love the smell.  My husband and I tried it.  We both enjoyed it.  I will use my 20% off coupon soon.  I also love the tin can.  Dont forget to re-use it!

Base on what I have read so far I think everyone will receive the Benefit toning lotion and the Teaopia sample.
Others will receive maybe a product by Lise Watier like a powdered eye shadow, Neiges perfume or plump gloss (I have received that last month).
Some will received a Body balm/Lip Treatment by Mereadesso, Poise Tint/Total Moisture Facial Cream by Benefit, Essie nail polish (last month's box), Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub, or even E.L.F eye shadow.

As you can see, the list goes on and on.
So it is like a draw.  You will never know what you might received.  Your box will be either the same or totally different than others.

I am happy with my box.  I would have love to try the other items too since I have only received 4 items plus the bonus where as other received 5 samples plus the bonus.  Oh well, I like my box anyways.

I can't wait for my December box.  I wonder if they will do something exciting and special for Christmas.

October Luxe Box Review

Finally received my October Luxe Box.
They are by Loose Button.  (Click link for more info).
It should have arrived yesterday but Canada Post decided not to deliver it to me and had me go the the post office to pick it up.
They have changed their look.  I kinda knew it would be black with white letters and logo.  The Winners stores did that to make them look more posh/Chic.

Summary what I have received.
