The Body Shop French Grape Seed Scrub ~ #Review

The winter is the worst time of the year for my skin.  My skin is constantly dry and itchy.  I usually remember to exfoliate my face but I always forget my body.  Sometimes when there is too much dry skin build up that my body lotion can't be as effective unless my hands and body are exfoliated.  I have tried a lot of scrubs and I think you will like The Body Shop French Grape Seed Scrub from their Spa of the World collection.

The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-Purpose Balm ~ #Review

I love multi-purpose balms.  They are a saviour on both my daughter's and my dry skin.  Every day I wash my hands so often it gets so dry.  The Body Shop Amazonian Saviour Multi-Purpose Balm feels like a giant tub of hardened Vaseline.  I could apply a thin coat on my hands and immediately my hands do not scream from discomfort.  This balm is also great for people with tattoos.  I don't have one so I have no way of testing it.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth and Drops of Light Liquid Peel ~ #Review

I am so glad that The Body Shop has finally launched their own version of the liquid peel.  I have had used Asian brands liquid peel for awhile but sometimes they are either hard to find or too expensive.  I believe liquid peels are so much better then scrubs.  The problem with the scrub is that I have no idea if it is working and I have to be careful not to rub it too hard.

The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey ~ #Review

Having dry skin is already an issue on its own but when you are adding sensitive dry skin to your problem, that is a game changer.  Whenever my oldest daughter has dry skin, I could grab any lotion or cream and apply it on her.  Unlike my youngest daughter who has sensitive skin, who I have to be careful as to what I put on her skin since her skin will flares up and irritate her and she will itch like a storm.  Itchy skin makes her miserable and not a happy camper.  If you are just like my youngest daughter, check out The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey.

You Will Fall in Love with These Items from The Body Shop ~ #Review

Last Year, just before Mother's Day, The Body Shop launched the British Rose.  This line smells amazing.  It  has a lovely light rose scent, as if you are standing in a garden of roses.  The instant glow body butter instantly hydrated my hands and I could still smell the roses on my skin.  It is light so it is not so strong and overpowering that it would knock you over.  It is like any other Body Shop body butters - hydrating, not greasy, and smells wonderful.  The Petal Soft Hand Cream is like the Body Butter with a lighter texture.  The British Rose Body Butter has a light shimmer where the hand cream does not.

You know how much I love hand creams.  There have been many times I can't resist trying a new one in store.  My hands gets dry very easily regardless of the weather or the season.  The other day I noticed I had to try when I spotted The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream from their Spa of the World Collection.

If you haven't noticed, Essence beauty products are hitting the shelves.  Of course it all started in Korea and they are usually ahead in many beauty innovations.  They are one of the reasons BB creams were introduced in North America.  Essence is not a toner so you don't put it on a cotton pad.  It is like a serum and facial lotion.  It contains all sorts of goodies like vitamins, antioxidants, and natural origin hyaluronic acid.  It's main focus is hydration.  A few drops on your hands and pat it all over you face.  Some essences would give you the tacky feeling but not this The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Booster Essence Lotion.

I think everyone should think about applying Vitamin C products on their face because it is known to be one of the best antioxidant and anti-aging agents available.  We all know what happens when we leave a sliced apple sitting on the counter.  It would turn brown because it is how the enzymes in the apple react to the oxygen in the air. When we add lemon juice it stops the oxidation. Image the cut up apple as our face and when we apply Vitamin C to our face, it would slow down the aging.   I would recommend to try The Body Shop Vitamin C collection.
