This season Sephora has launched many tools that help with your holiday look.  I love using new clean brushes.  It makes applying makeup so much easier.  I can tell the difference when you are using good quality brushes than brushes that I get at a discount store.  I love when makeup brushes are soft like Sephora ones.  Sephora sponges are also great.  It does not cost you an arm and a leg.  I wouldn't freak out if I need to replace them.  If you are getting makeup for that special someone, don't forget to pick up Sephora Brushes and Sponges.   They are a must have in any makeup collection.

My Sephora came to my area back in 2004.  It was not until 2011 when I started to take care of myself and have been shopping at Sephora more often.  At first the store may be overwhelming like any place.  The more often I go the more I am comfortable at the store.  Over the years I learned that I could get a sample of the product I am interested and try it at home for a few times before I decide to purchase the item.  Majority of the SA are very helpful and sometimes I get lucky that I get someone who is very knowledgeable.

I like to keep my nails short because I cant function with long nails.  I have two little girls and I don't want to accidently scratched them.  Back in high school my girl friend use to have long finger nails until she started working with kids and there was no way she could keep them the same length as before.  She does not want to accidentally stab them but I know she might want to at times.  (Joking!)  I have two pet peeves and one of them are people biting their nails.  It is a bad habit and eew!  The other one is please don't clip your nails in public like in the subway or in the bus.  Seriously, it is gross and annoying.  Of course I could never find a clipper when I need one.  I think I have a pile of them sitting somewhere in the corner.  I believe everyone should own a good manicure set/kit in a little pouch that holds everything and put in a safe place and Sephora All hands in deluxe Manicure kit could be the best one to own.

Yup, I headed over the States a few weeks ago to do a little shopping.
Of course I had to stop by Sephora.
I saw this little cute lip set that I had needed to get.

It that not a great deal?  You will receive a full size Tarte LipSurgence and it alone retails for U$24 or C$31 so everything else is a bonus.  What a bargain.  I was so happy when I purchased it.
I am not going to go on a rant of how much the price difference there is between the US & Cdn because it might go into a 20 page essay.

To date, I have tried the Tarte and Fresh.  I really like Fresh from the free birthday gift I received this year and don't mind receiving another one.  The Tarte has a texture of a thick lip pencil with a minty sensation.

In case you are wondering, I am going to give the Sephora lip gloss to my SIL but I am keeping everything else!

Happy Earth Day...(it should be everyday).

Today was a good day.
I started my day with some free tea from Starbucks by bring your own traveller's mug.

Then I headed off to Sephora.
Sephora had an earth day event where you drop off a full size empty cosmetic container to receive a full size Origins moisturizer.
They had two choices: Starting Over or A Perfect World
I picked A Perfect World (don't we all)
This is my first time trying Origins so I am excited.

While I was at Sephora I picked up my birthday gift.
I think you know that this year they are giving the miniature size Fresh: sugar kisses mini duo.
This is also my first time trying fresh products.
I already love the tinted treatment.
