Coconut has been my weakness. If there are choices to be made, anything with coconut will most likely be my top choice. I crave the taste and the smell. One time I was in the subway and someone was wearing coconut scented lotion or body spray and I wanted to find what she was wearing.  I was tempted to follow her but that would be too creepy.  After searching high and low and I believe I have found it. I have a few addictions and one of them is my love of hand creams. It is really hard not to visit the hand cream isle when I am shopping at a drug store or a store that sells body care. I love to see and try anything new and always looking to see if my favourites are on sale. It feels like gentle white sand beach rubbing on your skin.

However, you have to be careful, not getting them into your mouth when using it.  Once in a while, after washing my face, it feels like I got sand  in my mouth - Yuck.

Redemption Day at Shoppers

This past weekend was "Spend Your Points Event!" where I could get up to $220 off.  That is an additional $50 instead of the usual $30.
As you can see I was able to purchase quite a few things including the arrowroot cookies that I forgot to add in the photo.
Majority of the products were on sale and I even has $10 worth of coupons I used toward this purchase.
In the end I went over by $5.97 and I had to pay the taxes.
I am abit proud of myself since this is the first time I have redeemed my points after collecting them for 15+ years.

Since I spent over $30 on Biotherm I received a gift with purchase.

Because I purchased so much cosmetics I received their 50th birthday gift box with samples and a few coupons. (Another post tomorrow to show you what is in the box.)

La Roche-Posay: Mela D Dark Spots ~ #Review

One time, some one mentioned that La Roche-Posay Mela-D Serum does wonders.
Unfortunately, I think it has been discontinued in Canada...WHY!!!
I guess I will have to pop over to the US to see if I could get a hold of one.
In the mean time I am using their Mela-D Dark Spots Cream.
They said it is just as good as the serum - no, I doubt that.
It is better than nothing so I bought it.
The reason why I rather have the serum is that the serum is absorbed and goes underneath the skin where as the cream sits on top of your skin.
So, it is better to get the serum...
I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and I have not seen any improvements - yet.
I am hoping after I finish the tube my skin tone might look even and those silly dark spots gone.
Fingers cross.

My Quick Shopping Trip

So this weekend I went to my local Shoppers Drug Mart to take advantage of their free $10 gift card promo if I spend $50+.
I wished it was the extra points reward but it is better than nothing since they had some great deals going on this weekend.
I picked up diapers, paper towels, detergent, Febreze, etc...
My subtotal for my purchases was C$52.48 (before taxes).
After I submitted my coupons my bill ended up to be C$30.83 (after taxes) plus I received the $10 gift card.
So it feels like I only paid C$20.83.
Not bad but I know it could be better...

A Good Day

I took my two girls down town to run a few errands.
Getting ready to go out is never easy.
I always had to stop to think to see if I have forgotten something.

My first stop was Holt Renfrew to pick up the Deborah Lippmann nail file I received from my topbox.
I received an email to inform me that there is a limited supply so don't wait too long...

My next stop was The Bay to pick up a sample of Clinique's Stay-Matte Oil Free Makeup and Viktor & Rolf  Flowerbomb perfume.
You will need coupons in order to receive these samples.  Sorry, I cant remember where you can print them... :(

Then when I was crossing the street, there were ladies handing out John Frieda's Full Repair shampoo & conditioner.  I received so many because they kept on giving them to me when I walked by.  I have already receive this sample in my Samplesource Box.  I have tried a pack and cant tell any difference between my current shampoo and conditioner to this one.

Last, I pop over to Sephora to pick up a sample of Peter Thomas Roth De-Spot.
Wanted to see what is available to help me to remove my dark spots from sun damage and acne scars.
Not bad for one day right?

I popped over to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up a few items.
These were on sale this week for $2.99 each.
I had a coupon for $3 off from Brandsaver when I buy 2... so it is like B1G1 free!

I also had a coupon for a free Kettle popcorn from Shoppers Drug Mart facebook page when I purchase anything over $5.  The value of this popcorn is $3+.  Not bad eh?
