Add Mix It to your Stockings ~ #Review #2016GiftGuide

I had one of the best cereal in the country.  I had tried a lot of cereals that are in stores. I have gotten bored with the same selection.  I was introduced a cereal that may shock you as it did me. I got a chance to try MIX IT, a Quebec company, that you can choose what you want in your cereal. You start with a base cereal like oatmeal or flakes. Then you decide what seeds and dry fruit pieces you want to add to it.

#Dinnerjustgotbetter with South St Burger ~ #Review #Giveaway #2016GiftGuide

I am a burger person.  When I had to choose between a burger or a salad, no doubt that I will be picking a burger.  I have never tried South St Burgers until recently when I saw they opened a store up in Vaughan Mills.  With my kids in tow, no doubt I will be stopping there when I am in the mall.  During South St Burger Event, I had the opportunity to try their True North Burger, Fries, and milkshakes.  It was the best meal I had in a long time.

CHEERIOS GOES GLUTEN-FREE #Review #PR

If you are on a gluten-free diet or for some other reason, you are in luck.  Like a few of my friends it is difficult to find cereal that is gluten free.  This summer, General Mills launched five varieties of Cheerios that are gluten free.

Good news for Canadians looking for gluten-free options: they can soon enjoy their favourite kinds of Cheerios. Beginning this month and rolling out across Canada over the summer, five Cheerios products are going gluten free: Original Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Multi-Grain Cheerios, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and Chocolate Cheerios.

Must Try GayLea NEW Nordica Smooth Cottage Cheese ~ #Review #Giveaway

Usually, I only like my cottage cheese in my lasagna, never as a snack.  I know it is healthy and I tried it with fruit flavours but it was never my forte.  However, when I learned Gay Lea's has invented Smooth Cottage Cheese, I was very eager to try it.  It comes in two flavour - Salted Caramel and Vanilla Bean.  When the cottage cheese has the same texture as Greek yogurt it makes it all the difference.

You Have to Try NuPasta ~ #Review & #Giveaway

I know most people would like to try dieting and/or eating healthier at a start of a New Year.  I would like to reduce my carbohydrates intake.  Carbohydrates turns into sugar which we use as energy.  When we eat too much carbohydrates in our system and we don't use it up, it then turns into fat.  I love pasta so I would be hard to cut it from my diet however, there are pasta substitutes like NuPasta.

It’s Time for a Little Holiday Magic with Kellogg’s Rice Krispies #TreatsforToys

I remembered when it was my 12th birthday and my mom made some homemade Rice Krispies squares to hand out to my class.  This was back in the 80s and I was not sure how my mom knew how to make them.   Maybe it was written on the box.  Now, whenever I need to make them I would Google it.

Just Add Kellogg's All-Bran ~ #Review

I am not a gourmet chef or top notch cook.  Anything I make is self taught since I moved out at the age of 23.  I was spoiled by my mom since she cooked all the meals with very little help.  Over the years I learned to make a pretty good pasta dishes.

I have always thought to myself we don't eat enough fiber.  I have two boxes of Kellogg's All-Bran and my kids won't touch them.  I love putting All Bran Buds in my yogurt and sometimes mixing it with another cereal.

#GoldfishSmiles Snackable Moments ~ #Review # Giveaway

You would not believe how much Goldfishes we consume each year. It all started because my oldest daughter could not have enough of them. A while ago, in Canada, we only had the regular cheddar flavoured but my co-worker told me the U.S. have so much more different flavour. We drove down and bought the pizza and chocolate flavour.    Eventually those favours traveled across the boarder.  I always give my daughter a handful of goldfishes for her snack at school. I would go to Costco and purchase the bulk box for my daughter to make it last for 2-3 months. Once both kids are in school, I could see I would need more Goldfishes.

Kellogg's Mini Wheats #TryitHot ~ #Review & #Giveaway

We are big cereal munchers.  Depending on how busy we are, we might eat it for lunch and dinner.  Sometimes I even pack it dry for my daughter snack.   Don't be surprised when there are even times a whole box of cereal is emptied and it was just purchased that day.  I bet by now we have seen and/or heard Mini-Wheats infamous catchy commercials:

I can't believe January just flew by and I bet some of you are still working on your New Years Resolution of eating healthy.  I always tried my best to eat healthy.  People at work know I always bring a salad for lunch.  I am so lucky we have a fridge at work so I bring enough salad ingredients to last me the whole week.  The salad alone is never enough so I make sure to add a little protein in it.

Green & Black's Orgnanic Chocolate for this #Christmas ~ #Review #2014ChristmasGiftGuide

I spend quite a lot on chocolate during Christmas.  They are easiest gift to give to people and perfect stocking stuffers.  Almost everyone loves chocolates.  Of course there are chocolates that I have to have this time of year and there are some I am willing to try.  My family is not picky of the types of chocolate as long it says Milk Chocolate.  That is the key word in my family.  Chocolate does not last long in this family.  If it is not hidden it will be gone.  Of course when I received a few bars of Green & Black's Organic Milk Chocolate I hid them right away.  Unfortunately a few members of the family could always figure out my hiding spot.

The Healthy Shopper’s 2014 Fall Picks ~ #Review

The time has come when I am digging out the mittens, hats, and sweaters. Just recently, I had to turn on the furnace just to keep us warm in the house. I am not too excited that Fall has arrived however I am excited to announced The Healthy Shopper’s 2014 Fall Picks. Let me recap who is The Healthy Shopper: Co-founder Randy Boyer and Andrea Donsky started back in 1999 as a coupon book to help Canadians save on organic and natural products and later in 2007 added e-coupons on their website. They have received many comments from customers that through using their coupons, they have enable them to try new healthy products they have never heard of or tried before.

Their first choice is Olympic Dairy’s new Chia yogurt, the first yogurt on the market with chia seeds. “It’s not only innovative and a “must try,” but it’s delicious,” said Donsky. Adding chia to its yogurt is in keeping with food trends that advocate including chia in all sorts of food,” she adds.  The addition of chia seeds makes Olympic yogurt even healthier and completely surpasses other yogurts that contain artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Chia is also considered a super food and is a source of protein and fiber. It’s the richest plant-source of healthy Omega 3 oil, important for heart and cholesterol health, and is now recognized as a weight-loss helper too. Olympic yogurt also contains pre- and probiotics for an extra immunity boost. Flavours include strawberry, vanilla, plain and pandan.

Alokozay Tea: Spice & All That Nice Pack ~ #2014ChristmasGiftGuide & #Giveaway

When the season has changed to colder days, I drink a ton of tea.  The best feeling is when it is freezing outside and I drink my first sip of my hot tea.  I also drink alot of lemon tea to try to boost up my immune system.  Drinking tea is alot healthier than drinking pop.  A few times I have given Alokozay Tea as gifts to the child care provider because I know it is not easy working with younger kids all day and the tea is to help relax them.

Gay Lea’s New Coconut Whipped Cream ~ #Review & #Giveaway

If anyone knows me, I love sweets. I crave sweet things especially when I was pregnant. Maybe that is why both my girls have sweet tooths. When I am baking they are always cakes or cookies. Usually the best part of the cakes and cookies are the icing. My youngest daughter goes to the extreme and licks only the icing and leaves the rest of the dessert. It is really hard to make her to eat the actually cookie or the cake. Whenever we go out during the weekend my daughter always asks for her favourite drink – Strawberries and Creme Frap with Whip. She used to take a spoon and eat the whipped cream first. She might as well get a can of whipped cream and spray it into her mouth. If you love whipped cream like we do, you might noticed a new kid on the block – Gay Lea’s new coconut whipped cream.

Rice Krispies: Multi-Grain Shapes ~ #Review & #Giveaway

I can’t believe my little girl is back at school. Where did the summer go and September just flew by? We are back to our regular morning routine so my daughter has been dining on cereal almost every morning. She has her favourite mug/bowl that she uses every day because it is metal and pink. I hate to send her hungry before I drop her off to the babysitter’s so I make sure she at least eats something in the morning. Her morning snack at school is not until 10am so it is a long time before she could eat in the morning.

Testing YogActive Fibre, Psyllium, and 3 fruits ~ #Review & #Giveaway

It is not a shocker how much cereal my family goes through each month. Some cereal barely last a week to show you how much we consume each month. Sometimes when things are hectic in the evenings or for whatever reason, we would have cereal for dinner. Don’t be surprised if we even have them for snacks too! This year I have mentioned Nuterra Granola and Swissli Musesli but let me also mention another great cereal brand they also carry is the infamous YogActive cereal. This was the first cereal I had tried that I had fallen in love with it, created by A & V 2000 Inc.
