Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory: 2015 Easter Edition ~ #Review & #Giveaway
Spring is finally here and Easter is less than two weeks away. It is time to purchase some chocolates for Easter. I have to be careful when I say the word chocolate in my house. They would come running and always seeking out if there are any. My daughters and I are big on chocolates. Watch out! My youngest daughter would even cry if I am in between her and her chocolate. My family was super excited to see when I brought home some Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory treats..

Christmas at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Store ~ #Review #Giveaway #2014ChristmasGiftGuide

Green & Black's Orgnanic Chocolate for this #Christmas ~ #Review #2014ChristmasGiftGuide
I spend quite a lot on chocolate during Christmas. They are easiest gift to give to people and perfect stocking stuffers. Almost everyone loves chocolates. Of course there are chocolates that I have to have this time of year and there are some I am willing to try. My family is not picky of the types of chocolate as long it says Milk Chocolate. That is the key word in my family. Chocolate does not last long in this family. If it is not hidden it will be gone. Of course when I received a few bars of Green & Black's Organic Milk Chocolate I hid them right away. Unfortunately a few members of the family could always figure out my hiding spot.

Christmas at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory ~ #2013ChristmasGiftGuide #Giveaway #Review
Warning. This post might have you lick your computer screen. Christmas is not Christmas without chocolate overflowing on our treat table. In my case it is almost empty again. Everyone in my family loves chocolate especially the three vultures. Normally I would not give it to my youngest daughter but she has to have what her big sister is having. There is not way around it. The one chocolate store they all love to go and visit is the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Store. The place that always makes my mouth drool. Check out their Christmas collection because there is something there for everyone.
Need ideas for Stocking Stuffers? Check out the traditional Christmas Balls ($7oz of milk chocolate) that tastes so good that you could never have only one. My girls have been begging me for another one then again for another. I had to limit them to three each. They are hovering over me to see if I wave and give them more. This package is great for sharing among co-workers, class mates, or all to yourself if you don't want to share.
If you want to jazz it up a bit, the Christmas Tree (3.4 oz, milk, white, or dark) is also a great idea. This tasty solid chocolate shaped into a tree is perfect to include as a decorative piece to attach on the present. The recipient won't be incline to share like the Christmas Balls. However this is much better than a bow.
A great mini gift idea or another stocking stuffer would be the Chocolate Pretzel Pack. It contains 6 Pretzel dipped in chocolate and rolled in candy cane bits. This is a great Christmas gift idea who likes sweet, salty, and peppermint taste. Perfect to give to someone like a school bus driver, school secretary, and even to the lunchroom teacher.
If you are looking for something cute and is the "bomb", try treating someone to the Candy Cane Santa Bomb as another stocking stuffer idea. It is very hard to describe it but I will try my best. It is shaped into a ball, almost like a truffle and inside contains with candy cane bits inside. It taste so good and I wish I had more. Make sure you purchase a few since they are hard to resist. You can't have just one.
You can't forget those who celebrate Chanukah because Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory made this 4oz hollow milk chocolate Driedle just for the occasion. This treat should be included in their driedle game. It would be a great prize I bet everyone wants to get their hands on this chocolate.
Sometimes giving someone the same box of chocolate might be redundant. Image if a teacher with 30 kids give her chocolates and it might be all the same/similar. So here is some great ideas I think the receiver will enjoy.
The 11oz Clusters Christmas Tree (white chocolate drizzled over milk) would be a nice little gift to give or to keep at home. I think it could be a great center piece at a Christmas party if it lasted long enough for the evening. Guests will be breaking a piece of it off throughout the night and it will be gone before you know it. It is that good. The top is shredded coconut mixed with chocolate. The rest of the body is solid milk chocolate with a hint of dried cranberries. This did not barely last a day so purchase plenty because they will be eaten before you know it. If someone received this all wrapped up, they would not have guessed it was chocolate.
Candy Cane Bark has become a tradition for me. I seem to purchase this for many years. My daughter loves eating chocolate and candy canes and loves to eat these together. Who could say no to a large bar of milk chocolate with a layer of crumbled candy canes? Another chocolate treat my daughter kept on eating. I think I have 6"1 male mouse who also has been nibbling it away and he thinks I would not notice.
If you have someone who is nut crazy like me, I bet the 18oz Nut & Brittle Tray would be the perfect gift you might be looking for. My whole family including my mom and brother loves nuts and chocolate. This tray consist of 6.5" small tray of 6oz deluxe brittle, 6oz bag of mixed nuts, 5.5 oz chocolate covered almond clusters and 3 pieces of chocolate foiled bells. It was all good. After a few days there is barely anything left. I know a few people in my life would love to have this. This would also be great to serve at a Christmas party. Purchase enough for the evening and all you have to do is unwrap it. Your are all set, don't even need to find a plate because it comes with a tray to use to display the goodies.
Rocky has gift packs that starts at C$29.99 that has a combination of items the receiver will enjoy.
The final verdict is that my family and I absolutely adored every chocolate that came to my house. It was the hardest to pick and choose when selecting which one to sample. Since my family and I devoured them in record time I have no choice but to restock with more Rocky Mountain chocolates. Hop over to Rocky Mountain chocolate factory store and there is so much selection that you will sure not be disappointed and there is a possibility that you might pick up something for yourself.
There is a Christmas promotion that ends December 25th that inside in selected 14oz boxed chocolate might contain a Rocky Card value between $10 to $100. Good Luck!
GIVEAWAY!
The infamous Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory would like to offer two of my lucky readers a $25 gift card each to their store. That is chocolate heaven.

Happy Easter from Laura Secord ~ Review
You can celebrate Easter with Laura Secord. Don't forget to check out their infamous Laura Secord cream Eggs which only comes out only for Easter. Its been a tradition since 1920s, which means over 90 years. This year, the egg will be sold in a special packaging tin to celebrate Laura Secord's 100 year anniversary.
Did you know you can freeze the egg and then slice it or eat the yellow center first? What a fantastic idea...
Laura Secord wishes everyone Happy Easter.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory ~ Review & Giveaway
Who is Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory?
Opened their first store in Whistler village back in 1988, and now they have 55 store across Canada. They have a wide selection of chocolate, ice cream, and crazy caramel apples.
If you are looking for chocolate for Easter or any other occasion, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is the place to be. They have something for everyone...even your puppy. (They have a small doggie section). There is one major attraction in their store that draws attention - their demonstration of the products they sell. Watching them dipping chocolate covered strawberries or making their chocolate covered apples will make anybody's mouth water. Rocky Mountain Chocolate is one of our favourite places to shop for treats. My favourite is their maple and oreo fudge and my husband always gets their smooth milk chocolate mint squares. This month Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has release their Easter chocolate line and they sent a box a few
I know I am not suppose to eat Easter chocolate until Easter but for the sake of this blog posting most of the chocolate has to be eatensacrificed for review purposes. What a shame it wont last until Easter. What a better excuse to go back and purchase some more.
If you are looking for something traditional, they have Bunny Junior (5.9oz, $7.99) and Flopsy Bunny Suckers (2.5oz, $4.49). I know every age would love this. Growing up, this is usually what I would receive for Easter. This was one of the items my daughter first dived into.
If you are looking for something more interesting and taste divine is the Small Foil Cream Eggs (0.06 lb, $2.99each). They come in four different flavours - Chocolate, Raspberry, Coconut, and Peanut Butter. They are not your usual "creme eggs". They are much better than the ones you know.
If you are looking for something new and cute, they have the White and Milk Mini Bunny Bombs ($2.99 each, New item this year). they are new products for this year and I have to say this is a must try product. At first they were just too cute to be eaten. Who was I kidding. I immediately took one bite and I couldn't believe how good they taste. The middle has a soft fudge texture that I could eat all day, every day. I wish they could make a bigger size for me. If they made it in the size of a small cake, I would be in chocolate heaven. I would advise to purchase a few more than one. I highly doubt they would last long in their Easter basket.
If you are looking for something interesting - try their Orange Non Pareil Eggs (8oz, $8.99). They are Orange soft jelly candies coated with candy sprinkles. These are my daughter's favourite because they taste amazing. Sweet soft and crunchy what more can the girl ask for.
If you are looking for something nutty try their Dark Chocolate Caramels & Cappuccino Almonds (7oz, $8.99). They are a nice combo when I pop them in my mouth. This is by far the best chocolate covered almond I have ever had.
If your are looking for something very unique and fun, try their Chocolate Nest with Eggs (4oz, $4.99). This is also another cute product they are selling. The nest has a crunchy chocolate texture because of the coconut and I finished this one in record time. Another one, I will have to repurchase...it was that good. I wonder if they would make a bigger nest just for me....
The last but not least, if you are looking for a fun and original chocolate, try their Treasure Egg with Smarties *includes their crack and win contest* (12oz hollow egg with 2oz of Smarties, $14.99). I had the hardest time cracking it open but if I had a knife, it would have been alot easier. I can't believe how thick the shell is compared to the other hollow eggs I had before. Inside each egg everyone has a chance to win a $10 to $100 gift card to Rocky Mountain. While I was chiseling the egg I was praying there might be a gift card but it was only had smarties...bummer. Maybe you might have better luck than I did.
The final vote is that my family and I absolutely enjoyed every chocolate I was sent. Since my family and I devoured them in record time I will have to go and purchase some more chocolate for Easter. Rocky Mountain chocolate factory will not disappoint you and you will not come out empty handed when you go into their store.

Christmas Shopping - Part 2
Today I was at the chocolate factory outlet.
Half of the item are consider as gifts.
The other half are for us to eat.
My favourite is the Cadbury Collection which I get once a year.
It cost $4 for the box and the tin box costs $16 for 2.
This year I did go crazy and spent almost $60!
That is the most I have spent on Christmas chocolates.
I have been going to this sale for the past 5 years.
However it is cheaper to get it here than stores.
So, look for a chocolate factory near you!
