When having kids there are a few things I have to carry with me - Bandaids and Disinfectants. I wonder when kids realized that germs are everywhere and not stick their hands in their mouth all the time. There are times it is not easy to find a public washroom and even if I did, sometimes there is no soap.

Dove Launches #MyBeautyMySay to Celebrate Women Who Embrace their Beauty
Dove launches #MyBeautyMySay to celebrate women who embrace their beauty and how it defines their achievements Three quarters (75%) of Canadian women believe they get more compliments about how they look than on their professional achievements at work.
What do a burlesque dancer, a lawyer, a poet, a blogger, a model and an eccentrically stylish older woman have in common? They are all women who have refused to allow judgements about their beauty and the way they look to limit their achievements. For this reason they were all chosen to tell their stories as part of the new Dove, My Beauty, My Say Campaign.
Dove knows that women are under constant scrutiny over their appearance, putting them under pressure to ‘look the part’, whatever avenue they choose to pursue in life. According to The Dove Global Beauty Confidence Report, even though eight in 10 Canadian women believe every woman has something about her that is beautiful, many still feel they are limited by their looks. For example, nine in 10 Canadian women admit to having opted out of important activities, such as attending social engagements, when they didn’t feel good about the way they looked.
To help tackle this problem and inspire women everywhere to overcome the beauty limits holding them back, Dove is launching the My Beauty, My Say film featuring true stories of nine remarkable women. These women are all unashamedly unique, yet share a common story of having both challenged and overcome other people’s judgements about their looks.
Three Canadian women are featured in the film:
• Judith, 66, of Montreal reveals how she is growing older on her terms. As a psychologist, she hasn’t changed the way she looks, her appearance, or bent to social norms associated with her profession.
• Elaine, 32, of Toronto speaks to how, after being made fun of in school for having a tooth gap and receiving frequent advice for ‘fixing’ her teeth, she made a video about why she is uniquely beautiful. Through her blog and videos, she now hopes to inspire others to embrace their own differences.
• Marcia, 33, and leading Montreal family lawyer and women's issues volunteer, tells the story of how she was often complimented on her looks and at times had to work harder to put her professional achievements at the forefront. This has pushed her to succeed even further and today is a leading member of the legal community.
Like the women in the My Beauty, My Say film, eight in 10 Canadian women agree they would rather look their personal best than follow what others think is beautiful. However, this isn’t always easy for women to do. The Dove Global Beauty Confidence Report found three quarters (75%) of Canadian women believe they get more compliments about how they look than for their professional achievements at work – a point Marcia brings to life in the film.
Other women featured in the My Beauty, My Say film include:
• Grace, 41, a burlesque dancer from New York, was teased mercilessly about the size of her nose from a young age. While she used to hide behind her long blonde hair and sense of humour, she learned to own her looks by discovering the punk rock movement.
• Elizabeth, 28, from New York was told growing up that straight hair was a sign of elegance and sophistication. As a result she spent hours straightening her hair, especially when attending functions or being photographed. Through poetry she found the words to speak out against the beauty standards in society and today wears her hair natural and curly, believing you shouldn’t have to “fix what isn’t broken”.
• Rain, 26, from New York once found her way to an open casting for runway models, only to be told to come back the next day with the men, as she was mistaken for male. Undaunted, she was successful in the audition without revealing her gender. She has since taken the opportunity to challenge the industry’s perceptions of what it means to be a women
Beauty as a superpower The stories of the My Beauty, My Say film affirm the idea that believing in your own beauty turns it into your superpower, by giving you the confidence to achieve your full potential in life.

Batiste Dry Shampoo ~ #Review
Ever since I was introduced to dry shampoo spray I could never live without one. If we have ever had a zombie apocalypse this will be one of the products I will be taking with me. Who knows when the next shower I will be taking is. That being said, this would be useful for this summer camping trip or any overnight trips. I remember when Batiste had only two scents and in two sizes. Now, it has grown there are different selection to choose from. I received their latest collection - Ella Henderson and Coloured Dry Shampoo (dark and deep brown).

Shout! Factory QUACKERZ DVD #quackerzthemovie #Review #Giveaway
Check out Quackerz, a new CG animation with an all-star voice cast. A family of ducks lives in a house that no one lived in for a hundred years. A female villain wants to capture the sun duck that will keep her eternal youth and life. For some reason the female villain reminds me of the characters from Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock. There were many hilarious parts in the movie because I kept on hearing my daughters laugh when I was in another room. This DVD has been replayed many times over the past few weeks. My daughters give it four thumbs up.

Lampe Berger Paris Cube Starter Kit ~ #Review #Giveaway

St. Ives New Products You Have to Try ~ #Review #Giveaway
Over the years I have used many body washes and I especially enjoyed using the latest St. Ives Renew & Purify Sea Salt & Pacific Kelp body wash. It comes in a large easy to squeeze bottle. It has a scent of sweet salty greens, I guess that is from the Kelp. There is even granules of sea salt in the body wash. The granules of sea salt gently exfoliates my skin as I wash. I love how it lathers up and making my skin feeling fresh and clean.

My kids love dinosaurs. Whenever we are at the museum it is one of our exhibits we must visit. My oldest daughter has always enjoyed watching Dino Dan's crazy dinosaur adventures. This time we watch Trek teaching us all about Dinosaurs like Dan did. Trek lives and breath dinosaurs. He taught us so many different dinosaurs and we had a good laugh when the baby dinosaurs are making a big mess in the house. I found this DVD very educational and I learned so much in just one episode. Must have DVD if your child loves dinosaurs.

Kiehl's Limited Edition by Olivia Mew ~ #Review
The eye area is one of the most important area we need to take care of. The surrounding eye area is the most fragile and attracts signs of aging. By keeping the eye area flawless could make you younger than you really are. Kiehl's was not kidding when they say this eye treatment is creamy. It is so creamy I wonder if it was body butter instead. The texture is thick like an avocado. A small amount is enough for both eyes. Remember to use the ring finger when gently rub it in.

Over the past few years, I have developed my love of using cleansing Wipes. They are so easy to use, great product to use on the go, and always ready for action. Last year, I enjoyed using Simple Micellar Cleansing Water. So gentle and it made my face feels amazing. Well, it gets even better. Now it comes as cleansing wipes.

Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant ~ #Review
Antiperspirant is one of those products I can't live without. Just before I leave the house or after a workout, I would put on some deodorant. I use it all the time regardless of the weather, season, or time of day. I must put it on before I step out. Nothing is more embarrassing is having bad OB. Sometimes I wish I would tell some teenage boys to put some on. Since last year, I love using my original Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant.

Vaseline Lip Therapy Tins ~ #Review
All year long I use some form of lip protection. My lips get so dry and it gets even painful if I don't apply something. I have even seen it splits, cracks and bleed. I use to apply Vaseline to my lips all the time. I would put a thick layer to make it last all night long. The next morning my lips would be hydrated. L'Occitane Peony Perfecting Toner ~ #Review
It has been awhile since I reviewed L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime products. The last time was when they launched their tinted lip balms with 25 SPF. This month, L'Occitane will release Peony Perfecting Toner.
