Canadians will be tapping into their good nature this coming weekend at the #NoOrdinaryCard mobile pop-up, which is offering free holiday cards to people across the GTA. Hallmark firmly believes that because there are no ordinary people, there should be no ordinary cards. Friday, November 25 until Sunday, November 27, the Hallmark pop-up will be seen sporting bright colours and friendly faces at several core locations in Toronto.

Passersby and friends of Hallmark can come select a free card, handwrite a heartfelt message to a friend or family member, and place it in the #NoOrdinaryCard mailbox, to be sent by Hallmark in time for the holidays. Santa will be joining in on the fun on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for memorable time with the family and cherished photos.

Hallmark 7 Card Challenge ~ #Giveaway

Growing up I would love to send cards and letters.  Over time I became so busy I tend to forget to write.  I have a few people I love to send cards out to, at least a few times a year to keep touch since I can't reach them by email or text.  There is something about receiving a letter in the mail which makes it so much more special than just getting an regular old email.  I get a happy feeling when I receive a birthday card or a Christmas card.  It is rare that I would receive a "Just Because" card.  Hallmark has so many beautiful cards in their store for all occasions.

Hallmark WorkShop: Calligraphy 101 ~ #LoveHallmarkCA

I had the most wonderful time participating at Hallmark’s Calligraphy workshop at Hopson Grace Store. The workshop ran by Lisa Mavian from PostCalligraphy. It has been decades since I used a calligraphy pen. It was fun learning it all over again but this time I had an instructor. In the past I self taught but even then I think I was doing it all wrong. I had a classmate demonstrating her Calligraphy penmanship that I wanted to give it a try. I got my mom to get me a Calligraphy set/kit. I worked on it for a few weeks and then forgotten about it. This experience was so much different. I was actually dipping a pen into a jar of ink. All I need to do is stick a feather on the pen and I would be writing like Victorian era.

Valentines Day is always special to me.  I have some great memories over the years that I would always cherish.  I know Valentine's Day is for couples to celebrate their love but I love how the Japanese celebrate their Valentine's Day.

In Japan, women are given the opportunity to give out treats, usually chocolates to any of the males in their life.  It is not necessary for only couples.  It is the day for women to show the men how much they mean to them.  They could be friends, their boss, classmates, relatives, or loved ones.  In return, on March 15, White Day, is an event where the males would return "the favour" with white chocolate.  If we follow their example and give out items they might love, I think it would be very successful holiday.

Hallmark had always plays a role in helping me to celebrate my Valentine's Day from a getting card or a small gift.  This year there is so many items I think there is something for anyone.
