All year long I use some form of lip protection.  My lips get so dry and it gets even painful if I don't apply something.  I have even seen it splits, cracks and bleed.  I use to apply Vaseline to my lips all the time.  I would put a thick layer to make it last all night long.  The next morning my lips would be hydrated.  This Vaseline comes in a tin so I could use it all the time.  Vaseline Lip Therapy Tins (17g, $3.49-$4.99) comes in four different types - original,  aloe, rosy, and coco butter.

I tried the Original Vaseline Lip Therapy Tin.  It is made of 3 ingredients - petrolatum, shea butter, and tocopheryl acetate.  It has the same texture as the original Vaseline in a tub.  I think there is barely any shea butter in it.  There is no scent and it keeps my lips hydrated all the time.  The tin make it so easy for putting it in my purse or take it with me on my travels.

    I received a sample of the Vaseline tin and I LOVE it :) It is (as you said) perfect for popping into your purse or pocket & really works to save dry chapped lips!

    You can never fail with Vaseline. I find I always go back to it.

    I'm always surprised to see that Vaseline is still used as it is made for Petroleum Jelly aka petrolatum which has been shown repeatedly to be a carcinogen.

    anyone find the tin hard to open if your nails are short? I have a tin of beaverbutter, thats in a tin and I struggle with it if my nails are trimmed

    Since it contains petroleum jelly I am surprised that this is still on the shelves. I used to use it a lot but not any more.
