Overall reaction - Its not a terrible box.  Lots of full size drug store products. Interested in the Cheek & Lip Tint but use it mostly for the lips.  Really wanted to try the L'Oreal dark spot corrector to see if it really works.  I love coupons.  I wish all beauty boxes would send us coupons.  If we did enjoy the products and want to purchase more, the coupons might encourage future purchases so it could be a win-win situation. I am taking a break from Glossy for a few months.  Might try another subscription.  Suggestions?

Dove deodorant always goes on sale.  They could be as low as $1.99.  Sometimes I have seen these for free ...if you are lucky.

July 2012 Glossybox

I cant believe we are in August already.
Where did July go?  Can you believe that summer is almost over?

This is my first Zoya nail polish.  I think I read that orange is the new hot colour for this season.  However, it is not very flattering on Asian skin tone.  I wonder if my daughter would like it.

I am one of the unfortunate ones who has dry feet but not as bad as some people.  I did tried this last night and when I woke up this morning I noticed my poor little feet hydrated.  Unfortunately, it is a bit pricey compare to other brands.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Sheet Solution
Full Size 60ml @ $14.99, Sample Size 10ml @ $2.49
I really like John Frieda products.  They have a huge range of products I would love to try.  I will be saving this for the winter or when I curl my hair.  It looks like a good size sample that will last me a couple of days.

Burt's Bee Lip Shimmer

I use be a huge fan of Burt's Bee but now I think they are OK.  This lip shimmer has a minty tingy sensation.  I not sure how I feel about that.  I guess it is like the minty lip gloss that Bath and Body Works sells.

Dove Softening Creme Body Wash
Full Size Sample 200ml @ $5.99
After one use I am not sure if I see any difference between this body wash than my other body washes.  It promotes that after one week I should see my skin softer and smoother - I will find out after one week.

Beauty So Clean Sanitizer Wipes

Just received my June Glossybox on Friday.
Just made it before the long weekend.

Biore Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser

I was just going to purchase this the other day.  I have received two sample packs and coupons from their Facebook page.  I really like it.  You only need a small amount to wash your face so the full size bottle will last me for awhile.  It is very gentle on the skin and it leaves your skin all nice and fresh.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion SPF 55
Full Size 88ml @$15.99, Sample size = Free
I have already received a sample of this for free from their Facebook page so I am kinda shock to receive this from my box again.  I do like it so much that I went to Costco to purchase a package of 3 for only $19.99.

Wella Professional Ocean Spiritz

I dont use hair spray unless I curl my hair.  I dont usually curl my hair during the summer except for the odd occasion.

Olay Regenerist Wrinkly Revolution Complex

This is my FOURTH sample!  I received two free samples from P&G sampler packs from here and here.  Then one from my Luxe Box.  If people keep on sending me these samples, at this rate I will end up with a full size sample.  I used it a few times and really dont care for it.

Cover Girl Flipstick - Blendable lip duo
Full Size = Sample Size 3.8g @ $12.50
I have not used CoverGirl lipstick for over a decade.  I have not decided if I will use this or not.  If I were to purchase drug store lip stick, I would choose Revlon instead.

Gillette Venus Embrace Razor

I understand Razors are expensive but I have received so many samples that I dont need to purchase any for a while.  Is it me or we are getting razors more often than usual.

It proclaims to hydrates and softens dry, cracked feet in 2 nights...I will put that to the test.  I found my feet are always dry.  Better hydrate them so I could wear those pretty sandals I have been eyeing on.

Simple Eye Makeup Remover

Can't wait to try this.  Always need a good makeup remover.  Something that does not burn my eyes...

Simple Facial Wash Gel

I've use this once and one words comes to mind...Wow!  It is super gentle on my skin.  It felt like I was not using any soap...wait it even says there is no soap...Hahahaha.

Someone out there is reading my mind.  It is a multi function oil free cream corrector - primer, concealer, foundation, and brightener.  Something that all moms needs.  They just need to add SPF and then we are all set!

I really like the smell.  Received their hair spray in previous month's box.

When I first lifted the box, I noticed how heavy it was.
I was thinking if they sent a brick to my house...hahaha.
It was packed to the rim with goodies.

So this was the reason my box was so heavy.  Its a good thing :)  I like heavy boxes that contain lots of goodies.

It's a good size sample.  I use more conditioners than shampoo so this will last me two washes which is fine.

I love the smell.  I wasn't too impress with the last item from Wella.  I hope this will change my mind.

Marcelle Xtension Plus Mascara

Finally!  Just received my March Glossybox.
Can you believe it?
Some of the items in this month's box delayed the delivery...
It was worth the wait.
So to compensate they gave us extra glossypoints that will go towards a free box when you hit 1000 points.

This month box includes the following:

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion

I could get the same size at Walmart for $3-$4, so it is not really a sample size.  It is an okay item.  (p.s. sometime I receive free samples from Aveeno from LivingWell's website.)

Bailey Cosmetics Fresh Lip Gloss

Oh! Something new...but it is so weird that it does not come with a box to show the size or if I have the Berry or Pink colour.  I will assume I have the Berry one.

Never used a facial spray before.  I think it is great for hot humid summer.

I understand launching in Canada came with some glitches but not giving us updates if there was a delay or no tracking number provided I was surprised.  However, when I emailed them they responded very quickly.  I don't care if it is late as long as they inform us.  (Just a thought.)

Overall, I like my box.  However, I like the promo boxes a bit more.  (Psst, there was no full size sample...)  I wonder if they will continue to please us with our future glossyboxes...

After some reviews and blogs, this is what I have found out:

They launched in May 2011 - the box were £10 including delivery but they raised the price starting September 2011 £10 plus £2.95 for delivery.  
This had caused an uproar and people posted alot of negative feedback on their facebook wall and they deleted all of them...  Interesting.

Just got the email that Glossybox has landed on Canadian soil.
They had opened their office in Toronto.
The catch is they are $15 per box for 5 items. Yikes!
Anyone going to join?
I was hoping it was not more expensive than their other competitor.
I want to join but for $15???
I am sure people are going to join but that shows that if they can charge $15 then the others might raise their price too!
I think one reason why it is so expensive is their overhead cost.
I am not surprise that having an office in downtown Toronto is cheap.  They should have opened their office where rent is cheaper to help reduce their cost of the box :(

*Update, $15 include taxes.  I live in Ontario so our tax rate is 13% so the box is $13.27 per month...OK, it does not seem too bad and they did say once in a while they send you a free 6th item.  It is $1.27 more expensive than the Luxe box.
