#HallmarkPressPause Celebrates Valentine's Day ~ #Review & #Giveaway

Valentines Day is always special to me.  I have some great memories over the years that I would always cherish.  I know Valentine's Day is for couples to celebrate their love but I love how the Japanese celebrate their Valentine's Day.

In Japan, women are given the opportunity to give out treats, usually chocolates to any of the males in their life.  It is not necessary for only couples.  It is the day for women to show the men how much they mean to them.  They could be friends, their boss, classmates, relatives, or loved ones.  In return, on March 15, White Day, is an event where the males would return "the favour" with white chocolate.  If we follow their example and give out items they might love, I think it would be very successful holiday.

Hallmark had always plays a role in helping me to celebrate my Valentine's Day from a getting card or a small gift.  This year there is so many items I think there is something for anyone.

This fun, loving hippo dances and sings to a parody 90's song, "Baby Got Back".  I thought it was very funny.  The song provides sweet memories of that era.  My kids enjoying pressing the button over and over again.




Doggone Sweet Lady and the Tramp Plush

I think it is a great idea to bring out the classic Disney's The Lady and the Tramp to help us celebrate Valentines Day.  It is one of the greatest love story that is forever cherished for many generation.  I just can't believe that this movie is celebrate its 65th anniversary.  It is older than me!

Lady and the Tramp Hardcover Book

This Plush is best to be paired up with the book.  It retells the tale of Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp".

Love Cup with Marker

I like mugs but this one is my favourite.  I could write a message on the mug each day and it could be easily be written off.  You could leave a love note could be written on it for your significant other when you are not around.  This could done every day of the year.

Penny Paperheart– Bake Shop Mini Play Set

Created by an artist named Terry Runyan drew a little doodle.  She just created “Penny Paperheart”, who gives away her paper hearts.

This is reminds me of when I grew up with paper dolls.  I remember it came in a book and I had to carefully remove the doll and her dresses from the book.  This is even better because it comes with two little dolls named Penny and Patti in a Paperville Pastries box. This paper play set includes Penny and her friend, Patti, story card, paper outfits and enough material to make over 30 Hearts of Kindness cards and 12 small hearts to share.

Each pack includes 32 cards, 1 teacher card and stickers.  These Valentines Cards will be a hit at the school.  I always need a few packs each year for my daughter's class.  The kids loves to get Valentines cards especially if a chocolate was stuck to it.
