We only have a birthday once a year and I would love to doll myself up for my big birthday bash.  It would be the time for me to try and treat myself to some new makeup.  This time, I was able to try so many Marcelle goodies I have not tried before.

You know how much I love Marcelle mascara.  They are one of the few brands I could wear without tearing up.  I am so glad they invented this new mascara that includes a formula to create longer and fuller eye lashes.  I have Asian eyelashes so they are short, few, and fall off very easily.   This added ingredient is like getting two products for the price of one.  Immediately I could see my eyelashes fuller after I applied it the first time.  It is easy to remove and I barely notice I was wearing mascara at all.

The Eyebrow Pen felt like I am applying a marker to my brows.  I usually use a pencil or a powder but this pen is waterproof so it lasted all day.  You will need a good steady hand and don't laugh when using this pen because it dries super fast so a simple wipe won't fix it.  You will need a makeup remover to correct any oopsies.  If anyone wants to emphasize their brow this pen will do the job.

The 2-in-1 retractable eyeliner is so easy to use and the most fun to test.  I love how the sponge is attached to the pencil and ready to use when I need a quick fix of my makeup.  I love smoky eyes and the sponge can help achieve the look without too much effort.  The blue is a lovely shade and I believe my daughter will like it too.  I bet the purple looks just as good or maybe even better.

Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel ~ #Review

I never had the chance for my skin to feel like normal.  Except, maybe before when I was 9 years old but everything went down hill for me since then.  I have very oily skin but some products for oily skin can be too harsh for me to use.  Those types dry my skin make my skin irritated. I am so glad Marcelle launched their new Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel which is CDA approved. Canadian Dermatology Association, backed by objective medical specialists providing expert advice for the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails, is to help guide consumers in choosing healthy skincare products.

Marcelle: DD cream ~ #Review

As I mentioned before, there is a new kid in town and its name is DD.  What does DD stand for?  "Dynamic Do-All".  If you are like me and is lost with all these new ABC cream...don't worry.  You are not alone.  My understanding is that BB cream is a light coverage with added benefits.  CC cream is a medium coverage with more benefits.  DD cream is the combo of both BB and CC cream and the primary focus is its anti-aging - to diminish wrinkles and fine lines.  I hope this clears things up for you...

Marcelle: Eye makeups ~ Review

I'm always looking for great eye makeup products because I need my eyes to stand out and not remain hidden behind my eyewear.  I have oily skin so I need to wear primer to make my makeup last throughout the day.

Marcelle has this great velvety eye shadow and also a primer which comes in 6 colours.  This eye shadow states it "offers an exclusive creamy formula with ingredients that are safe for the delicate skin around the eye area."  This could be worn as a primer or on its own and it said it will last more than 12 hours.

I tried the Marcelle's rose velvety eye shadow + primer (4.5 ml, $15.95) and used it under my usual eye shadow since it was not bold enough.  It just blended into my skin and you could barely see it. I have worn it for half a day and am surprised by how much it held up my eye shadow.  It was not irritating and didn't melt from my skin.

To make my eyes to pop out, I use an eyeliner to outline my eye.  This Marcelle's Kajal Kohl (2.4g, $11.95) is the blackest of black and it made my eyes larger and more dominate.  This eyeliner is more chunky than usual liners and it has a long pointy tip that they proclaims allows for easy and extra precise application.

I did like the size since it is easier to hold than the skinny ones.  The liner is shorter so it allows better control when I am making the outline of my eye.  This eye liner is very black and there is no question how it made my eyes stand out.  I could make my eyes look like Elizabeth Taylor's Cleopatra.  It is waterproof and it said it could hold up for at least 6 hours on the waterline.  In order to maintain the long pointy tip is to use the special sharpener that is available exclusively online for $2.95.  I wish it actually came with the eye liner.  Not sure why it is sold separately.  It made more sense to make it a combo.  I was not watching the clock but the eye liner did held on for sometime without melting away.

I have tried many mascara over the years and there are only a few that do not irritate my eyes and one of the is made by Marcelle.  This twist push-up mascara (7ml, $13.50) is like a push-up bra but for your lashes.  It claims that it is design to "push them upwards to provide instant volume."  First apply the mascara in its regular position (extended brush) then tighten the brush by twisting the end of the brush and apply it as a second coat to add maximum volume.

I was amazed at how much I love this mascara.  It was easy to use and didn't irritate my eyes after wearing it for a few hours.  It is like owning two different mascara for the price of one.  It does appear to make my lashes more prominent.  I had no problem removing the mascara when I was using eye makeup remover.

After trying these eye makeup I knew Marcelle would not disappoint.  It is great to know a brand is watching out for people with sensitive eyes.  I like to stay away from blood-shot eyes from allergic reaction or raccoon eyes.  Marcelle makes a girl looks her best.

The eye shadow primer and the kohl eyeliner has antioxidant, waterproof, crease-proof, hypo-allergenic, perfume free, paraben free, and it was tested under ophthalmological control.

Marcelle: BB Cream: Golden Glow Illuminator ~ Review

In case you have not noticed from commercials and magazine ads, one of the hottest new beauty products in Canada since 2012 has been the BB Cream.  If not, check it out, you will not regret it.
One of the popular BB Cream is by Marcelle's, which I have heard great glowing reviews on.

This illuminator comes in one universal shade and it contain with golden, light-reflecting pigment that proclaims it "boosts radiance instantly and formulated with powerful antioxidants, aloe, and chamomile".  It is hypo-allergenic, perfume free, and oil free.

This illuminator can be used alone or as a base for your foundation.  It is very light and blends really well on my skin.  I could see a slight shimmer on my skin to make it more brighter and radiant.  Something what every girl needs when going out for a girl's night out or for those mornings from those late night parties.  A great idea I found from Glow was to mix this into your current foundation for more coverage but also give you the illumination on your skin.  It is oil free so it does not make my face greasy or shiny so I could wear this through out the day without having my face feel uncomfortable half way through.  It is a great product.
