Liberte Lactose-Free Greek Yogourt ~ #Review & #Giveaway

My family has always been a big fan of yogurt.  We could easily polish off a tub of yogurt in a day or two.  My daughter will often get excited to have yogurt for a snack.  The same excitement if we were offered a piece of devil's food cake or strawberry cheese cake.  It has been recently I have been purchasing Greek yogurt.  I have found it to be creamier and more filing than the regular ones I purchase.  We are fortunate that we are not lactose intolerant.  For those that you are, check out Liberte Lactose-free Greek yogurt.  Before, you maybe limited or unable to eat yogurt.  Now you can go crazy.  Imagine you can now use this yogurt to make yummy tzatziki sauces or other goodies that is now lactose-free.

NEW! Liberte Baby ~ Review

I purchase yogurt weekly just to keep up with the amount of yogurt we consume in this family.  Both of my kids love any type of yogurt that is put in front of them.  There is no whining or arguing trying to get them to finish it.

Liberte has introduced a line of baby yogurt.  Step 1 is for ages 9 months or older which consists of  plain yogurt with a light sweet taste.  It is "made of whole milk and has milk fat contest of 6% to promote brain growth and development in babies.  It also contains probiotics and is enriched with vitamin D.  It has 4 grams of sugar per container, half of which comes from lactose, the sugar naturally present in milk.  The other 2 grams comes from cane sugar, and have been added to eliminate the acidic after-taste of plain yogurt."  Step 2 is for ages 12 months or older made from whole milk and fruit purees which is either strawberry or banana.  It "has a milk fat content of 5%, contains probiotics, and is enriched with vitamin D".

My daughter is 21 months old and I have chosen for her to try the banana flavour first.  It was a success!  My daughter devoured the yogurt in record time and she wanted more of it!  I also gave some to my 6 year old to taste and she said she liked it too!  She said it is very creamy and can taste the banana.  The strawberry flavoured yogurt was also a hit.  Yes, I could see myself purchasing quite a few over the next few months or so.  I think this is a great yogurt if my daughter likes it.  When both my daughters like them, they didn't last long in the fridge.  I can't wait to see what other flavours they might have in the future.  I am rooting for blueberries, one of my daughter's favourite fruit.

The Liberte baby line is sold in packages of four 75g containers and is available in supermarkets across Canada like Walmart and Loblaws for suggested retail price of $2.89.
