dippity-do:Colourboutique - Color Gel ~ Review

I have been watching anime since I was in grade school - so that is a long time.  Many times one of the characters would either have pink, purple, or blue hair.  I am obsessed with anime and many times I have wished I could dye my hair in one of those funky colours.

I'm guessing you might refer celebs like Katy Perry or Pink who colour their hair.  But, have you heard of Hatsune Miku.  A Japanese sensational who sings with a human voice but she is really a hologram.  Interesting, eh? She makes me want to have long blue hair.

In one of my yoga classes, there was a lady who attended a class and she has purple highlights. I thought it was amazing and wanted to do the exactly the same.  Unfortunately, I work in a office so  it is against company policy so I have never attempted it to until now.

dippity-do launched Colourboutique, a line of temporary hair colour, that could add some fun into my hair.  It comes in three fun colours, Posh Pink, Purple Power, and True Blue.  It comes into two application: Colorgel, where you comb it into the hair with a mascara wand and the Colorpop is a powder which comes in a egg shell for easy to carry for touch ups on the go.

I applied the Purple Power Colorgel on both my daughter and I to see how it turns out on different hair colour.  My hair is black so was a bit hard to see it but on my daughter with her strawberry brown hair it was more noticeable.  I did find it hard to apply the gel on my long course hair but it went on easily with my daughter's fine hair.  I could see my daughter would be using this more than I.  What I like about this product is very easy to wash off with just shampoo.

Available in Walmart Canada April 2013 for a suggested retail price of $6.86 for either the dippity-do Colorgels (50ml) and Colorpops.
