GKIDS & Shout! Factory Presents Satellite Girl and Milk Cow ~ #Review #Giveaway

This is this a very odd, silly, and funny animated film.  It is a fantasy/science fiction with a touch of romance type of film.  It starts off with a satellite with an artificial intelligence floating in space.  It heard a music playing on earth that moved the satellite that it wanted to meet the singer.  When the satellite landed it stubble upon a magical battle and Merlin, the wizard, accidentally turned the satellite into a robot girl.

If you think that is strange... Merlin who you never expected, was turned into a toilet paper...  Then you meet the Kyung-chun, who was playing the music, got his heart broken and then he got turned into a milk cow.  There is another wizard who is trying to steal Kyung-chun's liver because he is a cow.  It is a very strange movie and maybe some parts will make your head shake.  It is one bizzard movie that I have ever seen lately.

There is one part where they had to milk the cow and sell it which they could have edited out.  It was just too weird and my daughter did laugh about it.  The movie plays on the theme of "boy meets girl, and boy falls in love with the girl" with very unique characters.  If you are tired of the same type of movie you see all the time, then you might be interested in this movie.

On June 5 Shout! Factory released a charming fantasy/science fiction romance film "Satellite Girl and Milk Cow" on Blu-ray/DVD. It's an animated film from Korea, and while it doesn't have an MPAA rating, if it did, it would be PG. Recommended for kids 12 and up.

GKIDS and Shout! Factory have announced the release of the charming fantasy/science fiction romance Satellite Girl and Milk Cow on Blu-ray/DVD on June 5, 2018. Bonus features include the short film Coffee Vending Machine And Its Sword, and trailers.

The debut feature-length film from Korean director Chang Hyung-yun, acclaimed creator of animated short films that have premiered and won prizes at festivals worldwide, the highly original Satellite Girl and Milk Cow was produced by Cho Young-kag (The Fake, The King of Pigs), and received an Asia Pacific Screen Award nomination for Best Animated Feature.

An out of commission satellite picks up a lovelorn ballad on her radio antenna and descends to Earth to find the source of such sincere emotions. But on the way she is caught in a raging magical battle and transforms into Satellite Girl, complete with rocket shoes and weapon-firing limbs. Meanwhile, the balladeer in question – a loser twenty something at a cafĂ© open mic – meets the fate that befalls all broken-hearted lovers: he is turned into a farm animal. But love knows no bounds, and aided by the wise and powerful Merlin – a wizard who has been turned into a roll of toilet paper – our duo must evade the all-consuming incinerator monster, the wily pig witch, and other nefarious adversaries in an attempt to be together.
