Checking Out L'Occitane Mer & Mistral ~ #Review

You know how much I love L'Occitane and I am excited to find out their first outlet store in Canada opened at the Outlet Collection at Niagara.  You have no idea how excited I was when I found out.  I was bubbling with excitement.  I had also discovered I was pronouncing L'Occitane incorrectly and I am not the only one.  Here is a short video of how to pronounce it correctly.

Back in April I had introduced you L'Occitane new scent, Neroli & Orchidee, to add to their La Collection de Grasse series.  Now let me introduce you another new scent; Mer & Mistral - just in time for Father's Day.

Mer & Mistral is their new unisex scent that was created by house perfumer Karine Dubreuil, the aquatic composition blends fresh citrus sparkling notes with aromatic combination of cypress, rosemary and pine, delicately swept up with salty sea aromas.  Technically unisex, the Eau de Toilette and matching bath and body products are intended to inspire men equally.

I would say this scent has a earthy and musky scent that both men and women could wear.  If you don't like fruity or floral scent, this one is for you.  It is a stronger scent so it would be great for an evening out.  Some people make the mistake by go over board and spray their perfume everywhere.  A little on the pulse point is the correct way of wearing them.  The body gel is more runny than your usual lotion.  There is only a hint of the scent and not over powering.  The best time to apply it is right after my shower.  When my body is semi damp, I wouldn't use the body gel cream as much.  A great way to keep my skin hydrated and making the product last just a little longer.

Eau de Toilette (75ml) $75
Fresh Shower Gel (175 ml) $20
Fresh Body Gel (175 ml) $24
After Shave Fluid (75ml) $36

  1. I love this idea for Father's Day! I tend to go the typical route when it comes to scents...whatever is on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart! I love L'Occitane products and I might have to make a trip out to Niagara to check out the outlet!

  6. I'm not sure about the earthy and musky scent, I don't think that's me. I'm more of a Chanel No 5 person :-)
