Marcelle: DD cream ~ #Review

As I mentioned before, there is a new kid in town and its name is DD.  What does DD stand for?  "Dynamic Do-All".  If you are like me and is lost with all these new ABC cream...don't worry.  You are not alone.  My understanding is that BB cream is a light coverage with added benefits.  CC cream is a medium coverage with more benefits.  DD cream is the combo of both BB and CC cream and the primary focus is its anti-aging - to diminish wrinkles and fine lines.  I hope this clears things up for you...

DD Cream

Marcelle launched their own DD cream called Daily Defense Cream which is like their infamous BB cream but is "boosted with antioxidants to protect against external aggressors and improve the texture of skin."  It promises with its "10 in 1 multi-benefits cream that improves the overall appearance and texture of skin".

10 benefits it proclaims to have:
  • Tightens pores
  • Visibly improves skin texture
  • Evens and smoothes the look of skin
  • Promotes removal of skin impurities
  • Controls shine
  • Offers immediate and long-term hydrating benefits
  • Protects skin from environmental stressors
  • Helps prevent signs of aging
  • Soothes and calms dry/damaged skin
  • Provides anti-dull radiant complexion
I really like this DD cream because it has SPF 25 which saves me a step when applying makeup on my face.  It goes on smoothly and I can see it reduces the redness on my face.  Can you see it on the photo when I applied it on my arm?  Once again I apply the DD cream underneath my regular foundation to give me the extra coverage I need. There is no odor, absorbs quickly, non greasy, and does a pretty good job of covering my imperfections (and I have alot of them) - what is there not to love?

Available in two shades and in stores like Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Rexall, and Target to name a few.

  6. All these letter creams are getting confusing! I think DD cream sounds like the best for me and this one looks really nice. As long as it comes in a shade light enough for my pale skin!

  16. Hi i was wondering what type of makeup would you put on top of this to make skin look "flawless". I'm pretty sure it's foundation, but does anyone recommend any specific brand and type for oil-combo skin?

    2. Thank you :) I will give it a try! i've got "baby blonde peach fuzz on my face", and i'm worried that by putting on foundation it will make it obvious :|
