The Mortal Instrument: City of Bones Movie giveaway ~ #giveaway

I can't believe how many great movies will be showing this summer.  There are too many to count.  Every time I see a trailer I get excited and add another one on the list.  One of the movies that I am interesting in watching is The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

"Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures"

Splat: Hair Chalk ~ #Review & #Giveaway

Splat recently launch their hair chalk, temporary pastel hair colour highlights to wear for the day.  When I saw this at Shoppers Drug Mart I wanted to try it out.  It looks hip and fun to do, especially it is only temporary.  I am the type of person who loves to put all sorts of colour in her hair for fun.  My daughter is following in my foot steps and when she saw this, she also wanted me to put it on her hair.

It comes in five different pastel colours:
Purple - Violet Sky
Light Blue - Silver Moon
Pink - Dusty Rose
Green - Mint Candy
Blue - Midnight Blue

This hair chalk was so much fun to do on my daughter's hair.  It was so easy to apply on her dry hair and I didn't need to wet it.

It is small and compact so it was easy to put between my thumb and pointer finger.  The more I applied the more vibrant the colour becomes on her hair.  It is also perfect to be taken anywhere with you whenever you have the urge to add some colour on your hair.

After it was applied, I put on some hair spray so it won't flake away.  It said it will lasts for 24 hours but I don't know if I need it for that long.  After a few hours, the colour was still as vibrant as when I first put it on.  It was super easy to wash it off.  Just use regular shampoo and off it came, easy peasy.  Don't need to soak it or use a special shampoo.  However, for bleached hair, it might take a few washes so read the directions and instructions.  After I applied it on my daughter she was so ecstatic that she rushed to the mirror and started admiring herself.

When applying, it could get a little messy.  It was all over my thumbs when I was done.  Rest assure it washed off without any problem.  Don't forget to protect your clothes.  It might stain them so put a towel around you when applying it.

The hair chalk also comes with a sponge to help to apply the chalk closer to the hair line and on braided hair since it would be hard to apply to run it through your fingers.

Check out Splat pinterest board for amazing ideas.

Splat NEW! highlighting pastel-coloured hair chalk (3.5g, SRP C$8.99) is available at London Drug, selected Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Pharmasave and Lawtons Drugs, as well as independent drug stores, and farleyco.ca.

Guess what!!  Farleyco.ca would like to offer one of my readers to win their own Splat pastel-coloured hair chalk. (One winner gets to choose two (2) colours of their choice.)

This giveaway will run from June 10th to July 3rd, 2013 (midnight EST).  Winner, You have 72 hours to reply.  You must be 18+ Canadians Only.  Good Luck!
