Of course there were some failures like the famous 1940s Tacoma Narrows Bridge video clip you will see in this DVD. The video, will show the bridge collapsing and it has become a standard topic in every science class. I remember seeing this clips when I was in grade school and my daughter also mentioned she has seen it too. If your kids have not seen it, it is a much watch 2-3 minutes clip.
One of my favourite part in this video shows how engineers think of an innovative way to build a skyscraper to compensate wind currents. If you don't, the building will collapse like the bridge. I have noticed to become a great engineer, you have to be a great problem solvers and you have to think outside the box.
This is a great educational DVD to be shown at school and even at home. They will learn so much like I have learned one of engineers' greatest achievements is the Great Wall of China because it is made with stone, bricks, earth, and wood and most of it is still standing after 2000 years. This also comes with second DVD that contains lesson plans for Kindergarten to Grade 12 and more educational videos.
