Halloween is one of my favourite times of the year where we can dress up and party.  I always love costumes that are homemade.  You can't celebrate Halloween without watching NCircle Entertainment Cat in the Hat "Trick or Treat" and "Halloween!".   Who does not like Cat in the Hat who loves to take Nick and Sally on his crazy adventures.

You will never guess Cat in the Hat TV show is very educational when it is so entertaining.  Even I learned something from this DVD.  Nick was afraid of thunder and Cat help comforts him by giving him a quick explanation how thunder works.  The Cat and the Hat also teaches them a thunder game where you count between the thunder to see how far the storm is.  The more you count, the further the storm is.

The gang went into a house that looks awfully like a haunted house and every sound and noise is scaring Sally.  Cat in the Hat told them don't let fear stop you from having fun.  They go investigate because once there is explanation for all those sounds it is not scary at all.  Nick and Sally learned a very valuable lesson that there is nothing to be scared of once you know more.  Sally and Nick later decided to make their costumes instead getting one.  You have to check out what they make to wear for Halloween.

This is another great DVD that you might like to watch with your kids this Halloween.  This one has three episodes.  The first one you will learn things about bats like how they use sound to help them to "see" because they are blind as a bat....ha!  The second episode is they visit an Aye - Aye (lemur) to give Nick and Sally ideas to help create their scary mask.  The last episode is they visit three animals where they learn a trick and share a treat.  I like how you learn a little bit of about each animal and what they like to eat.
