Getting Ready for Back to School with Canadian Tire ~ #CTBackToSchool #Review #StudentLife

My daughter is entering Grade 5 this September and I thought it was about time to get her a new desk and chair since she never had one in her room.  I spent the whole weekend purging her room to create some space for her new furniture.  That weekend, both my daughters were away so it was just me v.s. The Room and I came out as the winner.  Canadian Tire has so many great pieces of furniture that could fit to any home decor.  I would highly suggest you check to see what Canadian Tire has to help you getting ready for back to school.

My daughter's room is pretty small and there is a tiny spot that could fit her desk.  Of course I measured first because not many desk would fit a 45" space and thank my lucky stars that Canadian Tire CANVAS Clara Desk in Grey does.  If you don't have a powered drill, I would suggest you invest in one.  My co-worker told me his contractor recommended Canadian Tire's Mastercraft power drill and he got himself one too which he also recommended it to me.  I wish I bought one since it would help make me build the desk a lot faster and easier and blister free.  Yes, after it was all done, I gave myself a blister which is very common to me.  I even give myself blisters when I write too much or sharpen one too many pencils.

The desk took me roughly 2 hours.  I like to take my time and read the instructions carefully so I won't make any mistakes.  The instructions was pretty simple to follow.  I like how it number the wood pieces so I would know which one it is referring to on the diagram.  In the end I built my daughter a functional and chic, sturdy desk.

Next item I had to build is the Canadian Tire CANVAS Blair Office Chair in white which is super easy compare to the desk.  This one took me about 30-45 mins.  The instructions are also simple and very easy to follow.   I like the white pleather chair that matches perfectly with her desk.  I could sit comfortably in the Blair office chair.  This is a good quality office chair that you can sit in for hours.

The one thing I noticed when I was reading both the CANVAS instructions is the bolts and bits were carefully labelled to match the instructions so you will know if you are using the correct one.  I have built plenty of furniture over the years and the bolts and bits are always jumbled in one bag.  I am presently pleased how well the desk and chair fits perfectly in her pink room.  When my daughter came home and saw her room, she was over the moon and told me plenty of time how much she loves it.  She is now ready for her first homework assignment.  If you are looking for a desk and chair, I would recommend Canadian Tire CANVAS Clara Desk and Blair Office Chair.
