KidsFezt Provides A Day Of Fun In The Heart Of Toronto

Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area (DYBIA) celebrates ten years of Kidzfest on Saturday November 26, 2016.

A full day of free family fun, KidzFest happens at Yonge-Dundas Square from 11a.m. to 5p.m.

Children can ride a Ferris wheel, meet Chase from Paw Patrol and show off their creativity making arts and crafts. They will have an opportunity to use an antique printing press with Mackenzie House or take home a rainbow in a jar from local non-profit Pueblo Science.

Mrs. Claus will even be available to help kids write a letter to Santa.

“This is our tenth year doing Kidzfest, and we think children and their families are going to love what we have planned for the day: stage shows, meeting some of their favourite characters and experiencing cool science experiments,” says Mark Garner, Executive Director of the DYBIA.

Families can expect to see special appearances from beloved characters like Bob the Builder along with exciting, science-based performances.

“KidzFest is all about fun and free programming for families in our neighbourhood and all over Toronto – and beyond,” says Garner.

Kidzfest is also an important opportunity to give back to the community.

DYBIA is pleased to be partnering again with Raising the Roof, a charity that works towards finding long-term solutions to homelessness.

While everything is free at Kidzfest, families are encouraged to embrace the spirit of giving this holiday season. Donation boxes will be located at various activity stations and all proceeds will go directly to Raising the Roof.

Kidzfest happens Saturday November 26, 2016 at Yonge-Dundas Square from 11:00 to 5:00PM.
