Barilla Pronto, One Pan, No Boil, No Drain ~ #Review

My family and I eat more pasta than rice.  You might think it might be the other way around in a Asian household.  When my mom stayed with me for a few weeks she made rice every day.  I told her that was the most rice I have eaten in three months.

Barilla Pronto, One Pan, No Boil, No Drain ~ #Review

I stock up when pasta goes on sale.  I doubt my pantry has less than 4 bags/boxes of pasta.   Pasta dishes are easy to make and make a few pasta dishes within 30-45 mins.  Just when I thought that is fast, Barilla could help me make dinner even faster by roughly 5-10 mins.  The reason is that I don't need to wait for the water to boil.  I cook the pasta as the water is boiling.  I follow the instructions from the back of the box and soon, dinner is served.  The taste and texture of the pasta is the same like my regular Barilla pasta.  I believe even the calories is still the same.  I think this is fantastic.  Even cutting down just 5 mins helps if I am in a rush to make dinner.

  9. We love the pasta in our family not that we don't love rice too , we just love it more. So many varieties of noodles the meal choices are endless like some spaghetti noodles lol. My favorite noodle is fusilli . That noodle goes with everything and holds on to the sauce perfectly.

  20. Do you know that growing up we had no rice nor pasta, asparagus was for the rich as was lobster. When I think of all the international food that we eat these days I consider ourselves very lucky to be able to enjoy the variety that's on offer. And now it seems pasta has gone one step further, I do like the idea of it being so much quicker.

  22. I've not tried the Barilla Pronto so far, in fact I haven't noticed it in the stores either but anything that saves time is good in my book, so long as the taste doesn't suffer.
