Ecotools is one of my favourite brands. I have been using them for almost two years now. I am still using the EcoTools Bath Sponge and the Large brush I received over a year ago. I even tried the Pure Complexion Sponge for Sensitive Skin last year. I love it so much that I used it so often that it fell apart. It was expected since I am supposed to replace it after every 1-3 months of using it. This time I had the chance to test the EcoTools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Brush, and compare Pure Complexion Facial Sponge for Sensitive Skin to the Deep Cleansing Facial Charcoal Sponge.
|p.s. the sponges in the picture are still in the plastic wrap|
I have been using this EcoTools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish brush all the time since I received the brush. I had to temporary retire my previous EcoTool powder brush because I love using this brush so much. The brush head is flatter and spread out more to apply powder to more of my face at one time. The brush is soft and gentle on my skin. It is light weight and fits nicely in my hands. A great brush to add to my collection.
I love using their facial sponge. If you can’t afford the expensive machine cleanser, give this a try. I find washing with just my hands does not get my face clean from the day’s worth of dirt and grime. I could tell the difference how my face feels between using my hand and using the eco sponge. My face feels much cleaner and fresher after using the sponge instead with my hands. I like to use creamy cleaners with the sponge and I like to use the sponge to help me rinse off the soap. I also use the sponge to help me wash off my facial mud mask. I enjoy using both of the charcoal and the sensitive skin sponge.
Both sponges are gentle on the skin but the charcoal is slight firmer than the white sponge. The white sponge is perfect for sensitive skin. The sensitive sponge has more “holes” that creates how spongier the sponge is. Both sponges gets hard when it is dry and soft when it is wet.
What makes them eco-friendly? They are 100% cruelty-free, the soft bristles are made of synthetic taklon and the handles are made of bamboo and recycled aluminum ferrules. Even the packaging is recyclable too! Eco Tool continues to improve their packaging and product to minimize the negative impact on the environment.
