The Balm sold at ObsessedCanada.com ~ #Review

It has been only a couple of years that I have been shopping online.  Two big reasons is that sometimes I could get a better deal online and it also saves me time and stress.  Dragging two young kids on public transportation is alot of work and time wasted waiting for the bus.  Based on the winter we have been having, it is better to stay indoors than brave the bitter cold weather.  When I think back to what I purchased the most, they are cosmetics and beauty products.  I guess I consider them one of the easiest products to purchase online than other things.  For a few years I have heard NailPolishCanada.com through the grape vine and last year (2013) they had won Canada Post e-commerce innovation awards.  They had contacted me to let me know they had also expanded their business which sells more beauty products, including The Balm at ObsessedCanada.com, launched last month January 2014.

The Balm

The Balm is a popular cosmetic company that is known for their Paraben free and Cruelty free products worldwide.  The Balm has a growing number of followers and I was attracted to them because of the packaging and original product names.  If you like or want to try The Balm cosmetics and don't live near a store that carries them, you can always order them at ObsessedCanada.com.  One of the best reason to shop at ObsessedCanada.com is that they will cover the shipping cost because no one wants to pay for shipping.

ObsessedCanada.com gave me the opportunity to test and review The Balm Manizer Duo Kit.  This kit comes with Mary-Lou Manizer aka The Luminizer and Betty-Lou Manizer aka The Bronzing Bandit.  The Luminizer can be used as a highlighter, shimmer, or eyeshadow where as the The Bronzing Bandit can be used as a all-in-one bronzer, shimmer, or eyeshadow.  I love how these cosmetics could be multi-use so it feels like you are getting 3 products in one.  To top it off, if these were purchased separately they will be $24 each but the duo kit, it cost $38 with a great savings of $10.

I love using these products as eyeshadows.  My brush easily picks up the products and blends easy onto my eyelids.  I use a primer on my face so the product will last all day.  I use a cleansing cloth to wipe off my makeup and it wipes off as easy as eye pie.  I think the luminizer works great on my skin.  I like how it highlights my skin.  I have found the bronzer is a bit too dark for my skin tone but works great for as an eyeshadow.  The other product I am thinking of purchasing is their lip sticks.  I have tested it in the past and it looks great on my skin tone.  If you are interested in The Balm Duo kit or any other product check it out on ObsessedCanada.com because don't forget everything is shipped free within Canada from Vancouver and Toronto to help you get products faster to your doorstep.

  5. I had never heard of this company before and I love the idea it is paraben free plus cruelty free. The Luminizer sounds like something I would like as it can be used for three different applications. Thanks for this info.

  8. I don't know The Balm nor ObsessedCanada.com but I'm not one for make-up so it probably doesn't matter :-)
