Kiehl's Christmas Idea ~ #2013ChristmasGiftGuide #Review

I'm counting down the days until Christmas and I hope you have started as well.  Not to worry, there is still plenty of time and ideas floating around.  Stores are open late so you can shop until the bitter end...well, that is the worst case scenario.  The females in my family are pretty much easy to shop for.  They love bath and beauty products so at least I know where to start.  One of the stores I would likely to visit is Kiehl's the home of the infamous lip balm.

This season, Kiehl’s proudly announces its 5th Annual Limited Edition Holiday Collection in collaboration with NYC-based artist Eric Haze. “Haze” has been creating artistic imagery on a variety of mediums for over 30 years and is best known for designs that span the art, graphic design and fashion arenas.

Kiehl’s Limited Edition Crème de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter will make a charitable impact though Kiehl’s Gives, the skincare company’s philanthropic platform. Locally in Canada, 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of the Limited Edition Crème de Corps Whipped Body Butter will benefit the Canadian Association of Pediatric Oncology Camps, a national collaboration of independently operating children’s oncology camping organizations committed to excellence ensuring that every child affected by childhood cancer has the opportunity for a safe, first-class pediatric oncology camping experience.  The Limited Edition Crème de Corps Whipped Body Butter will feature a special label designed by one of CAPOC’s member campers.

As you know I have the most insanely dry hands and dehydrated face in the winter and sometimes it is unbearable.  My skin will crack and turns all red and itchy to the point where it becomes painful.  Knock on wood that it has not started to bleed yet.  The Creme de Corps (250ml, $37.50, 500ml, $62) might be the saviour I have been looking for.  It is the most hydrating body moisturizer in the Kiehl's line so it is the ideal product for extremely dry skin.  Once I applied it on my hand and legs I could easy say "WOW!  I love it."  It leaves my skin soft, smooth, and hydrated.  It has been around for decades and is one of the original, classic formulas that have become one of the favourites to so many people.  It has no scent, absorbs quickly, and non greasy.  This bottle is not leaving my sight.

I remember back in grade school I participated in cross country skiing for the first and last time.  I recall my teacher mentioned I should moisturize before and after we head out to the snow.  I didn't know why until after hours skiing around, I came back and my face was shockingly dry like a piece of leather.  This Ultra Facial Creme (50ml, $32) should have been by my side because this is so light texture and leaves my face hydrated.  I know my winter can be both wet and dry but I know other parts of Canada are much worst.  This proclaims to provide 24 hours hydration and it helps reduce moisture loss while draws and absorbing moisture from the air.  It has no scent, absorbs quickly, and non greasy.

In addition to Kiehl’s individual offerings, customers have the option of customizing their own gift sets, personalizing their holiday gifting with the Kiehl’s products of their choice. All gift collections, including custom gift-wrapping service with Limited Edition Kiehl’s x Haze gift boxes, are available at Kiehl’s freestanding stores worldwide and select specialty retailers.

This might be another one of those cases where I may have to purchase two of them.  One for myself and one as a gift.  This might turn out to be another of my Kiehl's favourite products to have.

  1. What is the "infamous lip balm"? I never heard of that before, but I'm so curious to try it! It's great that the facial cream offers you relief in the winter months!

    1. Kiehl's lip balm is one of my favourite lip balms. I believe it is also their number 1 seller. A few of my co-workers and also reviewers love their lip balms. I guessed I should do a review on it someday :)

  3. My skin is normally dry in the winter but this year it took a plunge into the extremely dry category. This probably has something to do with the age factor and the weather combined. To me the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream sounds like a dream come true.I will have to get some of this. Thanks for the review.

  8. I haven't tried any of Kiehl's products but it certainly sounds like they'd be worth a try, especially since I live in the Prairies which has very dry air especially in winter-time.

  9. My skin will also crack during winter, I try and make sure that my showers are not hot, apply cream and cover virtually the whole of my body when I go outside - living next to the sea makes for very cold winds, though I haven't tried these products before
