Being organized and prepared maybe a luxury for some mothers.
We try to be two places at once, and are always rushing to go to the store or bank before they close.
Unfortunately, not everything is open 24 hours, and even if we could order everything we need on-line, we won't receive those items until the next day or so.
Here are my next 3 tips that could help your parenthood woos:
Change Please
Pizza Lunches, School Trips, and Other Events - the school always wants you to pay with exact change. Who has time to run to the bank to break a five ($5) or a twenty ($20)? So, I keep a small stash of $5, $1, and quarters in case I need them, which I often do. I get enough to last me approximately 3 months or so. If I notice I am running low on change, I try to give myself enough time to go to the bank in case I forget to go during the week.
Shoes
My girl's feet seemed to grow at an alarming rate when she was young. It was approximately every 3-5 months that I would have to purchase a size larger for her. So, in case her shoes didn't fit in the morning, I had a spare so she wouldn't leave the house barefoot! This actually happened once - that spare came in handy. The spares are usually running shoes. Dress shoes are not the greatest shoes for the playground. It is better to be safe than sorry.
Back to School
Tune the music, "It's the most wonderful time of the year..." Every back to school sale season, I always purchase an excess of supplies like crayons, erasers, pencil crayons, and even napsacks. During her JK years, she went through two napsacks. She managed to create "Black Holes" at the bottom of her bag. Unfortunately, kids easily lose their bags. Knock on wood, it almost happened to my daughter once, and hopefully it won't ever happen again. This year I bought 3 napsacks!
