You can call me the sunscreen police.  I am always asking if my kids have put on their sunscreen at school or whenever I am not with them.  I make sure my youngest always put on her sunscreen.  I have a collection of sunscreen I keep by the door.  There is no reason why my kids do not put on sunscreen before they leave the house.

Knock on wood but I have never had a sunburn.  Unfortunately, I have seen what sunburn does and it is not a pretty sight.  It takes forever for the body to heal and when you are older, it will never heal properly.  There was a Caucasian co-worker who I use to work with who was sunburned severely and her skin is now always brownish with spots.  The texture on her body looks leathery and it is not a pretty sight.

The UV peak hours are between 10am - 4pm, even on a cloudy day.  Always apply generous amount on your body and re-apply every two hours.  It is ideally look for SPF over 30.  We go through sunscreen like water.  I could easily use up a few bottles myself each summer.  If not, then I am not applying enough and not often enough.  I know I am doing it right when people underestimate your age.

I use sunscreen all year round but I use it the most during the summer when I have to apply it all over my body.  If you are packing some sunscreen on your trip or even to the park, you should bring a few tubes of Live Clean suncreen.

Just remember to moisturize after spending the day in the sun.  The sun soaks up all the moisture from your skin.  I recommend to use the Live Clean  After Sun 98% Aloe Vera Gel.  Aloe Vera is an important ingredient to help repair damaged skin especially if you noticed you skin looks a little toasty.  It is a gel so it comes out clumpy but it feels like water once I rub it onto my skin.  It absorbs very quickly and it leaves no residue that it feels like you didn't apply anything at all.  You could also keep one tube in the fridge so the gel will feel amazing on your skin when the weather is boiling hot outside.
