Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company #Take12 #Review #Contest

If you asked me when was the last time I had a bath, I had to think really hard and discovered it was more than 14 years ago.   I use to live in this tiny place that only had a stand up shower and when I moved, I had kids.  When my kids were younger, I was lucky if I had a chance to shower.   I had many record breaking 5 minutes showers.  Now that my kids are older I am able to spend more time in shower.

Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company #Take12

My kids have baths all the time.  Until recently, I would put both of my girls in the tub at the same time.  It was so easy to give them a wash at the same time.  Of course, I never thought of giving myself a bath.  Even though my kids are older, I am always so busy.  Blogging, working a 9-5 job, and a mom to two wonderful girls keeps me very busy.  Like everyone, my life is busy so who has time to take a bath?

I don't know how long it takes for you to take a shower but I take roughly take 15-20 mins. Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company says it takes at least 12 minutes to enjoy all the amazing benefits of a soak in the tub.  After a long stressful day and when the kids are a sleep, it's definitely worth to take a little bit of time in the evening for a nice soak in the tub.

Having stress is never good for our health.  Stress leads to many health issues.  Having a soak in a tub filled with Epson salt with essential oils relaxes me.  Taking a few minutes (12 minutes) in a tub to unwind would do wonders for your health.

The first thing I noticed when I opened my box from Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company was the scent.  After reading that all I need was 12 mins to soak in the tub that I was very eager to try.  I threw in a few handfuls of the Lime & Basil dead sea salt into the tub of warm running water.  The Epson Salt soothes muscles and soften skin.  My bathroom room started to smell like Basil.  I accidentally dropped the Pink Grapefruit & Cranberry Soap into the tub.  When I picked it up, I was attacked by the wonderful scent of grapefruit and cranberries.  Soaking in the bath surrounded by amazing scents make me want to stay in the tub all night.  After the bath, my skin feels amazing and I can't wait to have another bath again.  Using Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company made my bathing experience since 15 years so much enjoyable.

Here are Pearl & Daisy Natural Soap Company Top 4 reasons why you should #Take12 having a bath:

1. Outer beauty. Immersing your skin in warm water opens pores and softens your skin better than a shower ever could. After about 10 minutes in the water, the dry layers of skin become soft and you can use a sugar scrub to slough off that rough skin. Finish by massaging natural bath oil all over damp skin and then pat dry with a towel. Your skin needs minerals to stay healthy, and soaking in a mineral bath is the best way for your skin to absorb them. Dead Sea salt is rich in magnesium, which your skin needs to stay hydrated and smooth.

2. Inner health. Latest research shows that a hot bath improves blood circulation and cardiovascular health. Diabetics could reduce blood sugar levels by around 13 per cent, as the heat dilates blood vessels, improving blood flow so the body makes better use of its insulin, the hormone that converts blood sugar into energy. Adding some stimulating essential oils and minerals to your bath will enhance the effects.

3. Strong mind. If you're prone to depression, you might want to try a cool water bath. Cooler water helps to activate the nervous system and increase endorphins, the brain's natural anti-depressant chemicals. Stressed out? Warm baths have been found to reduce the stress chemicals cortisol and chromogranin. You can boost your emotional well-being by using essential oils in your bath for aromatherapy benefits. Uplifting oils include rose geranium and orange, while lavender and chamomile are favourites for relaxation and sleep aid.

4. Relaxed muscles. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes of immersion in warm water to reduce tension on overstretched muscles. If you've recently started a new exercise program, your muscles will thank you for the improved flexibility a bath offers as it relieves post-workout soreness. Try a rosemary and mint bath soak for added muscle benefits.

Here are some bathing tips to help you get started:

Some of us can't remember the last time we took an actual bath, and some of us couldn't imagine life without the simple pleasure of a deep steep. A morning soak can be just as refreshing as a shower and need not take more than 10 or 15 minutes. Warm water (not hot), and invigorating essential oils like lemon verbena or mint set an upbeat mood for the day.

The evening bath should be warmer, but still comfortable. A mineral bath made with sandalwood, vanilla, or rose essential oils will help you unwind and relax. It's good for the soul, and a nice transition from sitting at a screen to getting into a cozy bed. Here are some tips for making the most of your bath:

Keep it simple. Forget about candles and bubbles. You're more likely to take the time for a soak if you don't have do a lot of work to prepare or clean up.

Find your center. While you're in the tub, breathe deeply, close your eyes, think good thoughts.

Lock the door. Knowing that nobody's going to barge in will help you relax. Odds are, you completely deserve to be left alone for a little while, anyway.

Drink water. You might not realize it, but you can sweat a lot while soaking in hot water! So make sure you re-hydrate with a full glass of water when you're through.

Remember the classic air travel safety tip. In the event of trouble, you should affix your own oxygen mask first, before helping others. Being able to breathe allows you to be a better helper to those around you. Who knew?

  2. I have been known to soak in a bathe twice a day when needed. I'm old. I work for a living, so yeah, I soak and read books (I would never feel comfortable enough to take in the ereader lol, or a cell phone). I look forward to my hot baths and know that its a luxury as my daughter only has a shower where she lives (2yrs now) as well as a co-worker (because of renovations in the main bathroom upstairs)..its hard to do without one
