Two Great Christmas Gift Ideas ~ #2015ChristmasGiftGuide

In the weeks leading up to the holidays, we often struggle with those “hard to buy for” people on our lists. From new relationships to your boss and everyone in between, picking the right gift can be a struggle. Then as the days slip by we’re faced with unexpected gift purchases. Maybe we forgot someone off our list, or need a hostess gift that’s more unique than yet another bottle of wine?

With the holiday season here don’t buy a gift just for the sake of giving a gift, give something that’s sure to be used and enjoyed!

Everyone loves movies and a Cineplex gift card is a great way to give someone a big-screen experience. They make perfect stocking stuffers, a Secret Santa gift, a fun end of year teacher’s gift or a nice gift to give couples a “date night”. Available at different denominations they’re a gift for any budget. For a limited time the Cineplex Gift Bundle is back! Spend $40 or more on a Gift Card between November 4, 2015 and January 4, 2016 and get a bonus Gift Bundle worth up to $40 while supplies last.

Charitable gifts like Plan Canada’s Gifts of Hope are a ‘win-win-win’ for all involved: people who purchase the gift, people who receive the gift, and children and families in developing countries. There are more than 40 different Gifts of Hope to choose from, meaning you can pick the perfect gift for anyone and for any budget.

Get “caught up” in the spirit of giving and give a Bed net ($10). Give the heartwarming gift of a Newborn checkup ($30) to new parents or your mom and dad. No one will be expecting to receive Goats ($75) in their holiday stocking, or better yet,

A farmload of animals ($190)! Also great for teaching children about charity. If you’re looking for another reason to give charitably, other than giving back this time of year,

Giving Tuesday is coming up on Tuesday December 1 following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

  1. I love the idea of gifts that go to charity. We already have so much. It is a perfect time to give to those less fortunate.

  9. We always give to our four grandson's as my daughter (who is a twin) has three boy's and is a single MOM. As for my 2nd twin (who is a boy) we always give to his son as he is a single DAD.

  11. Ooh, I really like the Cineplex gift card idea. For some reason, it has never occurred to me to get a Cineplex gift card. My go-to is a Starbucks or Timmies GC. I think I will switch it up this year!

  16. I like both the Cineplex gift card idea and the Gifts of Hope idea. Some are really difficult to find something for and these two would solve most of those problems.
