Allied Beauty Association Show ~ #abatoronto

I had the opportunity to attend the Allied Beauty Associations Show that was held on April 6th and 7th, 2014.  This show is not open to the public but for people who work in the hair and beauty industry.  It is a place where salon professionals gets their latest idea, trends, techniques, and trying out new products.  The floor was transformed for a two-days tradeshow and marketplace with many amazing demos and non stop great deals shopping.  There was so much to see and do.

Allied Beauty Association Show

Highlights:
Professional scissors cost over $100.  I guess it is like Chef knives which I know also cost a fortune.
Hair Dryers releases negative ions dries your hair faster.
Ferrari put their engine in a hair dryer.  This hair dryer will last you a life time.
New hair extensions uses "tape" that lasts longer and does not damage your hair when it is removed
Redken came out with Pillow Proof where it is a primer for your hair and makes your drying time faster
Make your hair thicker using animal hair that clings to your hair.
Moroccanoil gave us a hair demo and told us the best bobby pins to use is the "opened" ones and criss cross them because it will hold your hair in place.
Organic Mineral Face Peel is amazing and I would love to have endless supply of it.
Welda makes hair colouring.  I did not know that...

There was an overwhelming amount of information that I enjoyed learning.  It is unfortunate I didnt get the chance to visit and talk to all the booths.  I had a great time and I hope I get invited again next year.

  11. I wish this type of an event was open to the public. My god, I can spend hours in Shoppers Drug Mart, this would be a 2 day event for me. It is probably the female version of a car show!
