I just can't believe Christmas is 25 days away.  It is always nice to see Christmas decorations up, listening to Christmas Carols on the radio, and watching old classic Christmas movies on TV.  In a matter of days, the weather has changed drastically to bitter cold.  I love to drink a nice warm tea or coffee to warm the soul in the morning.  It is soothing and relaxing.  The single serve machines is one of my favourite invention.  Sometimes I don't want to make a whole pot and I hate cleaning the pot.  The machine just pours straight to the cup so it is one less item to wash.  Another added bonus is that I can make many different drinks within minutes.   Not everyone wants to drink the same thing.

Last year I was fortunate to meet the Pixiwoo Sisters, Nic and Sam, during their Road Show.  They started back in 2008 when they first posted their YouTube video and now have 1,7 Million subscribers.  In 2011, they launched their own infamous Real Techniques makeup brush line.  They are so popular that my co-worker was excited to find them in Walmart.  Once in awhile I see them at Winners.  I use my Real Technique brushes all the time and I keep some in my travel bag.

I think everyone should think about applying Vitamin C products on their face because it is known to be one of the best antioxidant and anti-aging agents available.  We all know what happens when we leave a sliced apple sitting on the counter.  It would turn brown because it is how the enzymes in the apple react to the oxygen in the air. When we add lemon juice it stops the oxidation. Image the cut up apple as our face and when we apply Vitamin C to our face, it would slow down the aging.   I would recommend to try The Body Shop Vitamin C collection.

The Wild Thornberrys: The Complete Series ~ #2015ChristmasGiftGuide #Review

It is a great DVD series the whole family would enjoy watching.  We were having a Thornberry marathon.  We were popping each DVD because we enjoyed it so much.  In this DVD we meet the Thornberry family (Darwin, Marianne, Eliza, Donnie, and Debbie) and follow them on their wild adventures.  The family travels across the world to film rare animals.  After each episode I would wonder where they will travel next.  We meet a special girl named Eliza who can talk to animals.  I learn so much about wildlife when following the Thornberry family.   I was amazing to find Betty White did the voice of Grandma Sophia.  I love Betty White.  She is an amazing voice actress.   This Christmas I would recommend purchasing The Wild Thornberrys DVD set.  It made me smile, laugh, and even there was a part that touched my heart.  The Wild Thornberrys DVD box set would be the perfect gift to give.

Just Add Kellogg's All-Bran ~ #Review

I am not a gourmet chef or top notch cook.  Anything I make is self taught since I moved out at the age of 23.  I was spoiled by my mom since she cooked all the meals with very little help.  Over the years I learned to make a pretty good pasta dishes.

I have always thought to myself we don't eat enough fiber.  I have two boxes of Kellogg's All-Bran and my kids won't touch them.  I love putting All Bran Buds in my yogurt and sometimes mixing it with another cereal.

Growing up in an Asian family is so much different than a Western family.  I never had an allowance but I had gift money.  I also knew the value of money very early in life.  I knew money was tight and I even assisted my mom to pay the water, phone, electricity and tax bill when my mom showed me how to write a cheque.  She even told me where to drop it off,  So when I moved out, I knew what to expect.  I also know about money when my brother and I also took turns getting milk at the corner store with cash. Back in the 80s we used cash all the time.  I didn't learn about debit cards and credit cards until later.

I have a 8 year old daughter who has no concept of money.  It is much different now since I barely use cash except to pay for the babysitter and school charity events.

I was looking for some books that could help me teach my daughter about money and it was like someone was watching out for me.  I received the first 3 books of the series called M is for Money that could help me provide for some tips and ideas teaching my kids about money.

The first book is called "The Little Piggy Bank" which starts at the beginning explaining each type of money.  From five cents to $10 bills.  Yes, this does not mentioned pennies since it no longer exists.  This book also introduces the two young twins named Tessa and Benji.  Tessa is also the writer and publisher of this book series.  The twins would discover money by helping their dad with chores and receiving some birthday money.

The second book is called "The Little Lemonade Stand" where Tessa and Benji would sell Lemonade to their neighbours.  In this book they would discover they would get money by providing a service or a product.   They would also learn that it is not easy to get money.  Money comes from hard work, in this case, sweating from sitting in the hot sun.

The third book is called "The Little Trip to the Bank" where Tessa and Benji opens their very own bank account and deposit the money they received from Book 1 and Book 2.

Each book can be read alone but it is better to start from the beginning.  The books are easy to read so my oldest could read it too.  The first three books already have provided me some great idea I could work with my daughter.  These books are great start of teaching my daughter about money.  If you also have problems teaching your child the concept of money this book series is a great idea to read with your child or even give it as a gift.

M is for Money follows the financial adventures of twins, Tessa and Benji, as they learn about basic money concepts in a fun and creative way.  The books are aimed at children ages 5 through 9.  The M is for Money book series helps parents and teachers being hte conversations about moey early so that they establish a solid foundation for a child's financial success in the future.

I can't believe it is already November 1st.   Another year is flying by and I am already giving you Christmas Gift Ideas.  If you want some idea and also win some prizes, stick around because I have tonne of ideas to share with you.
