The Body Shop: Nail Colour Crush, Sweet Almond Oil Remover, Nail Art Pen ~ #Review

I am always a big fan of Nail Art. I find them fun and make the nails a little more exciting. I was very excited to try The Body Shop Nail Colour Crush, as well as, their new Sweet Almond Oil nail polish remover and the nail art pen. The 3 colours I received were #410 Deeply in Love, #610 Crazy for Blue, #710 Big Smoke.

The Body Shop Nail Colour Crush

I was so surprised to find how much I love this new nail polish collection. The colours were not only gorgeous but so easily applied to my nails. It goes on smoothly and I could barely see any streaks or lumpy marks. It goes on nice and thick that I could almost get away with applying only one coat but two coats is plenty enough. I am also surprised how fast it dries since it is so thick. As a mother of two, I need them to dry as soon as possible because I always need my hands to stop the kids from getting into trouble. I hate waiting for them to dry and most cases I will smug them and mess it up. The colours are vibrant and it last a few days without a top coat.

Colour Crush Nails collection comes in 24 shades inspired by nature. Skimmed of harsh chemicals, totally vegan and not tested on animals, this nail-loving formula is also high performance: enriched with silky Community Fair Trade marula oil, with a high gloss finish that is also quick drying. “4 Free-From” means its formula does contain Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor, materials some people want to avoid. It is also vegan and vegetarian suitable so it does not contain any animal derivatives.

The nail polish easily removed with any nail polish remover. However, I especially love their Sweet Almond Oil Nail varnish remover.

4-in-1 caring formula with sweet almond oil, soya oil and Community Fair Trade sugarcane essence. It is acetone free, has a conditioning formula, soften nail cuticles, and non-drying formula.

You can say it is my nails’ new BFF - a must have for everyone who does their nails. I found this to be one of the BEST nail polish removers I ever owned. It has a nutty scent and removes nail polish fast and well too. The best part is that it leaves my nails and cuticles hydrated. Can you believe that? All the ones I owned always dry out my nails but the sweet almond oil leaves a coat of oil on my nails. This does not prevent me from using nail polish on top of it all. I didn’t find it too greasy but you can see my nails are coated in oil. I wish it comes in a better container because I am afraid to spill it all over the cotton if I am not too careful. I don’t want to waste any because it is by far one my favourite.

When I also received the nail art pen it made me inspire to try some nail art on my nails.

This double-ended tool is like a magic wand for nail art. Finer side: Pinpoint accuracy for smaller dots and fine lines. Thicker side: Draw big dots and fill in large areas smoothly.

I was brand storming what I could do with the nail pen then I thought making lady bugs. I painted my nails with #410 Deeply in Love and the dots were black nail polish I had in my massive collection. I did them on myself and my daughter and many who saw them love them. It was very easy to use with the help of the nail art pen. I had not figure out how to draw lines with the finer side but the thicker side made my large dots so easy and perfect. I had so much fun working with my nails that I am already thinking the next nail art I will do. I had found it so much easier to do my daughter’s nail than my own.

Check out The Body Shop new Nail Colour Crush, Sweet Almond Oil nail polish remover, and the nail art pen. They might inspire you to create nail art on your fingers and maybe even your toes.

I'm actually not that fond of these colours because I like lighter shades, but I'm very interested in the almond oil remover
