It is not a shocker how much cereal my family goes through each month. Some cereal barely last a week to show you how much we consume each month. Sometimes when things are hectic in the evenings or for whatever reason, we would have cereal for dinner. Don’t be surprised if we even have them for snacks too! This year I have mentioned Nuterra Granola and Swissli Musesli but let me also mention another great cereal brand they also carry is the infamous YogActive cereal. This was the first cereal I had tried that I had fallen in love with it, created by A & V 2000 Inc.
I believe the first time I saw YogActive cereal was at a Food Show a few years back. After that, I have been hearing about this cereal brand all over Facebook and Twitter. They are a sweet and tasty cereal that everyone in the family enjoys, especially my youngest one. They have 7 amazing favours geared towards all ages. There was one YogActive cereal I had to get for myself to try which was the Junior with Chocolate Pillows. The cereal has chunks of little chocolate pieces in bedded in the cereal so each bite you have a little bit of chocolate. Of course my youngest daughter dived into it and before I knew it , it was all gone. She was quite sad to see the box empty.
The samples I received to try were YogActive Fibre, Psyllium, and 3 fruits. YogActive Psyllium has crunchy wheat flakes with yogurt, real peaches and strawberries. YogActive Fibre has crunchy wheat flakes with yogurt, real raspberries and strawberries. TheYogActive 3 fruits contain crunchy wheat flakes with yogurt, real raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries.
I love dried fruits in my cereal. They make the cereal sweet and tasty. The best parts of the cereal were the yogurt pieces. I love yogurt and I like them in my trail mixes too. You can bet that I will also love yogurt bits in my cereal.
I remember when I was working in the day care, eons ago, the teachers would mix in a blob of yogurt into the cereal. I thought that was an interesting way to eat the two items. The kids didn’t mind and ate it all up. However, I think the yogurt pieces in the YogActive are much better way to combine the two.
All three cereals were as equally as good. If I had to pick just one then I would say I like the 3 fruits the best because it contains blueberries which is one of my favourite fruit to add to both my cereal and yogurt.
You can purchase YogActive in almost all big retail supermarkets like Metro, Sobeys, Loblaws, Costco and even online.
Three lucky readers would win their choice of ONE YogActive cereal (only the ones with the strawberries, not the “Junior” ones or the Probiotic plus).
