Yummy Fiber1 Brownies

Have you seen these yet?
I have seen them at Walmart and Longo's
They are so good.
I had to purchase two boxes because they are that good.
So soft, it melts in your mouth.
The only down side is that it is a small bar :(

Body Shop: Coconut Oil Hair Shine

I pick this up for $5 (reg $10) during their 50% off promotion.
I have dry hair even I don't blow dry my hair or use any hair spray/styling gel.
I love to use leave in conditioner so I thought I would give this a try.
Its for all hair types and apply it on to dry hair.
You have to be careful not to use too much or it will make your hair all gross and greasy.
This product would be perfect for me during the winter when my hair gets really dry and frizzy.
It is not easy to use and I doubt I could use this everyday.
I would recommend this if someone has super dry hair that needs some serious CPR but I wouldn't purchase it again.

P.S. A friendly reminder, my giveaway end July 31st so don't hesitate to enter.

Diane Lai: Moist Lip Balm

If you have highly sensitive skin and/or with eczema inflicted skin, look no further because  Diane Lai for soft skin is an ideal product for you.

Diane Lai was kind to send me her new released Moist Lip Balm for me to try.
This is alot better than her previous one.
Her products contain no parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, artificial fragrance, artificial colourants, retinols, sulfates, petro chemicals, lanolin, oxybenzone (aka no harsh chemicals)

I was amazed I could understand the ingredients listed on the lip balm.
Ingredients: Shea Butter, Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Palm Butter, Honey, and sweet orange Oil
Yup, that is it.
All natural and organic ingredients, what more you could ask?

I also believe this product is better than EOS lip balm - I'm not kidding.
Best of all it is made in Canada

P.S. dont forget to enter into my giveaway!  Few more days left before I pick a winner.

July 2012 Glymm box

This month's bag was OK.
However, I have been enjoying the bags instead of the boxes these days

This month I received:

Dirt - Salt Scrub
Full Size 12oz @ $45, Sample Size - unknown
Smells really good.  Like lemon cake or lemon pie.  If it was a sugar scrub I wonder what it will taste! I am glad I receive this sample instead of Mereadesso cream because I already have the full size version.

Cyberderm - H2O Hydration
Full Size 50ml @ $60, Sample Size 4ml @ $4.80
I think it was suppose to be 5ml but there is a big gap in the tube.  Cute packaging - it is like a shot of botox.  I did noticed like everyone else where it said oral only.  It is not.  It is a moisturizer and they just bought the "syringe" from a supplier and use it for their packaging.

Cyberderm - PM Anti-Age
Full Size 50ml @ $115, Sample Size 5ml @ $11.50
Like I mentioned above, cute packaging.  I am not sure if I will be using this one or giving it away to my mom.

Mane Teeze - Social Butterfly Hair Perfume
Full Size 50ml @ $34, Sample Size 8ml @ $5.44
OMG!  I love the smell.  I love the smell of vanilla.  I would love to purchase this again but it is a bit expensive.

Joico - K-Pak Revitaluxe
Full Size 150ml @ $25, Sample Size 50ml @ $9
I have received this product before in my February Luxebox.  It is OK.  I dont mind using it again.

*Bonus* 25% on all Nail Polish on Glymm.com until July 31st
I wont be using this.  I could get great deals on nail polishes in stores.

The approximate value of this box is $30+

The Bottom Line
Product received - 3/5
The surprise - 3/5 (Meh)
Favourite product received - Mane Teeze: Hair Perfume
Brownie Points - Delivered on schedule
Overall reaction - Oooo.  Love to try that...

Do you like this month's box?

Off to Winners Again

If you have not noticed.  It is one of my hot spot.
There are about 3 Winners stores I go to regularly and a few more if I drive.
I am a sucker for deals.
I purchase most of my beauty items at Winners.
However, it is a hit or miss so I never know what is in store.
So far these are what was in stores this past weekend.

Crazy to see so many NARS products $39.99

$19.99

kiddie shoes - so cute! Wish they had them in my size $34.99

Korres!! $9.99

That is it...not much stuff in the beauty section.  Might have more next week.

Psst - Have you entered in my second round of my giveaway?  It is open to CAN & US.

Round Two - Stuck on You Giveaway!

Sponsored by:

Every time we need to leave the house, it is like a juggling act trying to get everyone out the door in one piece.
That is one of the main reasons why I hate appointments.  You might never know what kind of sheanniagans the girls might pull before we are out the door.

You can read my first three tips - here.  My next three tips are:

One Location
There are some items that you should store in one location so you wont forget where they are when you need them.  Mittens, hats, scarves, umbrellas, etc... are stored in one location like the main closet.  Important documents like passport, health cards, birth certificates, etc... should always be in once location like the office or bedroom drawer.  Once you are finished using them, put them back right away so the next time you need them, you are not searching the whole house for them.

Dated & Label
I don't do this but I should.  We should date and label our foods when put into fridge/freezer to prevent food poisoning and reminding us how long the food was sitting in the fridge.  You can use masking tape to label the box or bag instead writing on them.  Maybe with the dates on the containers, you could help prevent wasting food when you know how long the food has been sitting there.

Shopping List
They say bring a shopping list helps you save money.  If you stick to what is on your list instead going isle by isle, you might be surprised how much "extra" stuff you don't need.  It was suggested that when shopping for food, stay at the perimeter of the store because that is where usually where all the necessities are (fruits/veggies, bread, meat, and milk).  Also, when you have the list you won't forget anything for that day/week(s) so you wont need to run to the store a second time.

La Roche-Posay: Mela D Dark Spots ~ #Review

One time, some one mentioned that La Roche-Posay Mela-D Serum does wonders.
Unfortunately, I think it has been discontinued in Canada...WHY!!!
I guess I will have to pop over to the US to see if I could get a hold of one.
In the mean time I am using their Mela-D Dark Spots Cream.
They said it is just as good as the serum - no, I doubt that.
It is better than nothing so I bought it.
The reason why I rather have the serum is that the serum is absorbed and goes underneath the skin where as the cream sits on top of your skin.
So, it is better to get the serum...
I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and I have not seen any improvements - yet.
I am hoping after I finish the tube my skin tone might look even and those silly dark spots gone.
Fingers cross.

Few hours left of my giveaway.  Excited? For those who has entered and following me - Thank You.  Will post the winner sometime tomorrow so dont forget to come back...it might be YOU!!!!!!!  Good Luck :)

One of a Kind Tickets Sale (now over)

Click here to purchase the tickets

Shoes!!

I am very picky when I am shopping for shoes.
I wish I could wear sneakers all the time but unfortunately my work places does not allows them - even on casual Fridays.
If I could I would love to wear 3" heels but all I could wear is 1" or 1 1/2"...so sad.
I was at Winners and I bought these pair of shoes.
They look really nice but I dont really find them all that comfortable.
I am not sure if I have to "break" them in first or they just suck.
I wore them in the office for about 5-10 mins and I am thinking of returning...but they are so pretty - decisions, decisions, decisions.
Maybe it is just too good to be true.

Hope you entered into my giveaway. Good Luck!

This will be launching next month at The Body Shop.
I am so addicted to lip balm/butter that I am craving to try new ones.

"For every sale of this deliciously zesty new Lip Butter, 100% of the profits will go to support environmental, animal rights and human rights organizations"

Interested?
I think this is a great idea where we purchase something to help support our community.

Out & About

Check out my free drink from Starbucks!
Did you try their new Refreshers drinks?

It was tasty.  It takes like flavoured water.
It had some frozen black berries floating at the top.
I think that was a nice touch.

Today I did some window shopping at Winners.
Nothing new at the beauty section so I didnt take any pictures.
However, I noticed some headphones are on sale.
My husband always need a new set of headphones.
It never last more than 3 months on him.

This one was so cute I had to take a picture.

What have you been doing lately?

psst - have you entered into my give away?

Beauty Sales/Deals

I received an email today from Ebeauty (aka The Shopping Channel)

This is a great deal but unfortunately I have to pass on this one.
Half of the items I am not interested so it will be a waste.
I could give the ones I dont want away but there is only one person I know who likes makeup and I already have started a collection for her...hehehehe.

The second promo is from Benefit Cosmetic.
Until August 11st, when you purchase any Benefit product from a Shoppers Drug Mart or Murale Store, you can get Cabana Glama kit for 1/2 price.  Limited time only.

Sephora's newsletter mentioned Too Faced 3 in 1 eye shadow palette for U$48
That is amazing deal!
I have not seen this in Canada yet so I wonder how much it is for C$?

psst - have you entered into my giveaway yet?  Dont wait, it ends this Friday.

Target is coming to Canada

Hey Canadian readers - have you been to Target?
When I first walked into the store the first time, years ago, I thought I walked into Zeller's.
I didnt think there was any special and dont know why people are crazy about the store...maybe it is me :)

Now that they are coming to Canada they are taking over Zeller's real estate (building).
Target is not taking over Zeller's, just the store location if you are wondering.
They have not announced any specific dates except it will happen in 2013.
I know the first few weeks there will be a crowd of people until it all dies down after a month.

On Target's website, they mentioned if you use Target's reusable bags they will offer $0.05 discount.
Giant Tiger offers $0.03 when you dont need their plastic bag.

Is Target going to open near you?
Will you visit Target when it opens in Canada?
I bet they will have some crazy Grand Opening Sales or incentives to get people into the door.

Organized Mom - Top 3 Tips & Giveaway

Sponsored by:

Organized?  I am nowhere near being even remotely close to being called organized, but I do try my best.
As a mother of two (some times 3 if you count my husband) I have to be on top of things, and I have to be very flexible and pick my battles wisely. Us moms can only do so much in 24 hours.

So here are my top 3 tips that will help you to get yourself "organized":

1. Prep Work
Before I go to bed at night, I usually have lunches all ready in the fridge, clothes all laid out, and other miscellaneous things I could do that evening so that I don't need to worry about them in the morning.  When I do plan ahead, mornings are fairly easy.

2. Calendars
I use two calendars.  The first is a large monthly calendar posted on our fridge door.  It marks all the family's important appointments, events, trips, birthdays, etc.  The second calendar is on my desktop at work.  For any important deadline that I have to do, I set an "alarm" that pops up to remind me of my duties.  For those really, really important appointments or things I have to do - I set it on my phone to remind myself.  I know most people have it all on their iphone/blackberry but I find it easier to have work and family on two different calendars.

3. Pre-Cooked Meals
When coming from a hectic day at work and trying to take care of two kids, who has the time to cook?  It is easier to heat up leftovers in the fridge.  There are a couple of ways to do it.  The most common way is to cook on Sunday to feed an "army" and spread it out over the week.  Sometimes when I order Chinese take-out I order extras for leftovers.  When I purchase a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken, I purchase two so I could save one for lunches or the next evening dinner.

Stirred Not Shaken

Who is ready for another James Bond movie - Skyfall?
I love action flicks and I cant wait.
OPI has announced in celebrating James Bond's 50th anniversary they are releasing a James Bond collection.

Quoted from OPI's facebook page:

Fruits and Passion: Hand Soap

Just before Canada's Day, Fruit and Passion had a great offer.
C$3 for their Cucina hand wash Regular Price C$9.99.
However, their instore ad said it retails for $14.
It was limited to one per customer.
So one bought one at one location and then bought another one at another location.
I have always wanted to try their hand soap but I though it was too expensive compare to Bath and Body Works.
The hand soap pump is made of glass and I could reuse it with any hand soap.
The hand soap is great.  Very mild and gentle on my skin.
It is not as thick as your usual hand soap.
I have even received a 50% off coupon if I decided to purchase more of the handsoap.
After using a few times I really like it.
However, I dont think I will be purchasing the refills - too expensive.

Body Shop - Shea Lip Butter

I picked up The Body Shop's Shea Lip Butter for $3 (Reg $6) a few months back.
It is almost like Korres' Lip Butter without the huge price tag.
It smells great, goes on smoothly, and it helps hydrates my lips.
When I compare the two, The Body Shop is a bit thicker than the Korres' but I don't mind.
Just be careful when applying it on your lips.
If you put too much, it looks weird by turning your lips a bit pale.
Remember this is not tinted.
I am hoping to finish this soon so I could try the other flavours.

Sunscreen Event at Pharma Plus/Rexall

I walked by my local Pharma Plus store.
I saw they were doing a Coopertone Sunscreen Event
After taking my picture and assessing my skin they gave me a goodie bag.
The goody bag contained 3 samples of sunscreen, key chain, bandanna, $1 off coupon for any Coopertone Sunscreen (not shown), and $5 off coupon when I spend on anything in Pharma Plus store (not shown in the picture).

Sunscreen Event at Pharma Plus/Rexall

Every since I have started to see sun/age spots I have been putting sunscreen religiously.
On top of that I wear a hat when I go outside.  I get annoyed with myself if I forget it sometimes.

Is putting sunscreen apart of your daily routine?

Sunday 8 July 2012

OOoooooo Mail!!

Yeah for good mail day.
Samples and coupons?  Yes please...

1. L'Occitane  - Verbena Body Ice Gel
Something new, something interesting...yes, I would like to try it.
I am apart of their mailing list so I didnt have to sign up for the free sample.

2. Free Liberte Greek Yogourt
For a limited of time they were offering Ontarians free yoghurt from their facebook page.
Free food = gimmie gimmie!

3. U from Kotex (via Walmart)
For limited of time, Walmart was offering free U from Kotex samples.
