The first thing I have tried in my ebeauty's birthday bag is the Nail Tek: Hydration Therapy Colour.
It is called Mardi Gras Mauve - almost a metallic pink
The first thing I notice is the bottle is tall and the brush is very long.
When I applied the nail polish - it is so silky and smooth.
It is like I am putting on nail polish butter.
I can tell it is a good quality nail polish.
The only drawback is it does not dry quickly because the nail polish is thick.
Overall I like it and I will definitely use this nail polish often.
Remember I mentioned that ebeauty is having a birthday?
They were selling their ebeauty birthday gift bag for $15 - so I ordered two :) so the shipping is free.
I ordered it on Monday and it arrived today (Wednesday) ... pretty good eh?

Is this not great or what?
Are you getting one? or two or three?
Hint - Mother's Day is coming up....
Have you even hear a sunscreen with SPF 110?
At the most I have seen SPF 70.
I use to remember sunscreen use to be SPF 8 or 15...what is happening to our poor planet :(
Just read an article that Neutrogena just came out with SPF 110.
88 ml with a cool C$17 price tag.
It states its light as a feather but has the strength to protect you from UV rays.
"Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen" = not greasy - SOLD!
I believe it is or will be available at Shoppers Drug Mart but it might be in Walmart & Loblaw's superstore too.
Picking up one?
I am still new to the make-up/beauty world, so bare with me.
These are tips beauty you may or may not heard before.
If you are a goddess or guru of makeup - this will be boring for you :)
Beauty products should never be in a jar.
Don't know why they cant put it in a tube.
If your favourite product is in a jar make sure you close it up tightly after use.
Air and light can effect the product.
Always wear SPF anywhere that is exposed to the sun.
Yup, even during the winter.
Even if it is 15 SPF on your face, it is better than nothing.
More the merrier.
We don't put on enough.
Go ahead, put on some sunscreen.
Keep yourself hydrated.
After a shower, before you are totally dried, put on some lotion all over yourself.
If you are hungry late at night or have the munchies, drink water.
It is more likely you are thirsty than hungry.
When putting on eye cream, a tiny little dabble is enough.
Use your ring finger to dabble around your eye.
For emergency only, if you ran out your leave-in hair conditioner, you can actually use your regular conditioner and leave it on your hair. You only need a small amount.
You better check out ebeauty's website to catch on some great deals.
They are having their birthday sale.
You should sign up for their daily email updates to see what they have in-store.
Have fun shopping!!
Let me know what you are getting...
Don't miss out on their $15 deluxe sample bag.
This is a simple one I have made.
I wanted to make the latch in the front instead of the back.
It is made with pre-made chain, a few Chinese crystals, and a semi-precious stone.
What do you think?
It was on sale at Shoppers Drug Mart for $6.99
Picked up the Caramel Comfort #819
It is so creamy.
I like it has SPF even if it is only SPF 15.
It is better than nothing.
It has a smell of coco butter meets lip stick smell.
I was at my local Canadian Winners (that sells Runway clothes) and you wont believe what I've found.
If you have not checked out the beauty aisle in your local Winners/Marshalls/HomeSense - you must, you have to, it is life or death...ok, it is not that bad.
I have found GlamGlow in Winners.
They sell it on Glymm's website for C$78 and last month they were C$50 for a limited time.
They had about 8 boxes sitting there and they were selling it for C$39.99.
Wow!
No, I didn't purchase one because it is not my cup of tea.
I used it twice and it burned than a tingle.
Then 15 mins later my face was smooth for about 10 mins then nothing...bummer.
I also found Prada shoes for kids. They had a price tag for C$129.99...
WHY?
Would you purchase them?
Hey Canadians, what do you think of this box? Interested? Already subscribed to 4 Canadian beauty boxes is great. I cant afford another one, yet... Hahahaha.
I am slowly introducing my collection of hand creams.
This one was introduced by my belated mother-in-law.
She loved Crabtree & Evelyn.
Her favourite collection is the Rosewater.
I didn't think I will like it but I absolutely adore it.
I believe it is C$19.
It is one of those hand cream that I am trying to make it last.
They also just launched a new collection this year - Avocado, Olive & Basil.
I will keep you posted on that one.
Before I had two kids I used to make jewellery.
I enjoy hunting for bargains on beads, pearls, crystals, etc...
I have even taken classes to help me to get started.
I am still new at it but maybe one day I will start it again...
One of these days I would like open my own business selling them or something else.
Over the next few days I will like to show you the stock up of jewellery I have made.
What do you think?
Until Mar 25th or while supplies last.
I picked this up while I was in Sears Canada (might in the US too...).
Had a quick consultation with their sales rep.
It is a good size tube of their lip gloss - 4 choices.
They say it last about two weeks if you put it on 2x a day.
I think it will last more than two weeks because for a lip gloss, a little goes a long way.
I picked up the Currant lip gloss.
I used the Burt's Bee lip balm to help you compare the sample size.
I have used this for about 3 days and I find it very sticky like a regular lip gloss.
It is OK, I will finish this but I would not purchase it.
Surprise!
Just received mine this morning and I was not expecting it.
I was wondering what happened to my tracking number and I received it in the evening...LOL
I was just thinking about this box this morning. Hahaha
This month is Loosebutton's first birthday...Happy Birthday.
This month's box:
Kerastase - hair mask
Full size 200ml @ $60, sample size 30ml @ $9
This hair mask is alot of work. First after I towel dry my clean hair, I am suppose to put on the product, wrap it in hot towel, leave it for 5 mins and then wash. Once I have the chance to try this I wont be purchasing this product. I don't have the time to jump in and out and back into the shower with two kiddies in the house.
DDF - cream
Full size 48g @ $140, sample size 14g @ $40.83
This product was in others previous month's box. I cant believe that this sample is worth $40+. I hope I don't fall in love with it because I can't afford it.
Cargo - Glitter Top Coat
Full size 2.8g @ $18 = sample size
This was my first in line pick. I didn't like the selections they had. They were OK. I missed out on the eye shadow...not sure if I am happy about it or not. :) Don't put this on the bottom eye lid...it burned...maybe I did it wrong.
My Scent, created by Loosebutton
CK one - Shock for her, Full size 50 ml @ $45
Vera Wang - Lovestruck, Full size 50 ml @ $79
Marc Jacobs - Oh, Lola!, Full size 50 ml @ $79
I like Marc Jacobs the best of them all - of course I like the expensive one. :)
Didn't I mentioned that they have to hold back on the perfume samples? It is getting too much. Now I have alot more perfume samples than before. I even gave them "feedback" on their last "survey". I guess they dont read them...so what is the point of filling out one?
Bonus: CK One - Shock for Him
Full size 100 ml @ $65, sample size 15ml @ $9.75 (info from The Bay)
I received a bonus for my hubby to use. I know he will like this one. I like it. I am thinking of saving it for Father's Day coming up in June.
Total worth of this month's box $78+
The Bottom Line
My experience with this month's box - 4/5
Product received - 4/5
The surprise - 5/5 (It came in the mailbox without me knowing)
Favourite product received - DDF cream
Brownie Points - Received a bonus for my hubby
Overall reaction - Wow, alot of perfume. Wow, that is one expensive cream. Must be laced with gold.
Did you get yours yet? What did you receive?
You can read my last two month boxes here - January and February
I love Febreze. I love their scent. I use them all the time.
I was happy to try their new car air vent.
Currently, we keep a little bottle of Febreze in the car but the air clip is much better.
The vent clip is small, stylish, and so easy to use.
My husband said as long it does not look like a pine tree it is all good. :)
When we first used it, we "opened" the vent clip and found it too strong.
It turns out you dont need to "open" the vent clip very much to use it.
We find it a bit strong at times so once in awhile we put it in the glove compartment.
I doubt it will last 30 days. Maybe 20 or 25 days. It has been about 10 days and it looks like it is half empty.
After a week of use, we really like it and will consider of purchasing it again.
Would we recommend it? Sure, of course! If you use car vent fresheners & like the smell of Febreze, give Febreze a try.
Note*I received a free sample from Febreze and ChickAdvisor as part of their product review panel.*
Oh no! Not another beauty box... :)
This one is called Beauty Box 5
This one is from the US and it also ships to Canada.
It looks like they just launch in the US last month.
I think the prices are the same amount in either US$ or C$.
When I put in a Canadian address, the amount didn't change nor it charge extra for shipping.
However I didn't process the transaction so I don't know if it changes later.
*Update* It is free shipping to Canadian addresses. YEAH!
By looking at their first box, it does not interest me. It might for you...
Can they redeem themselves in this month's box?
Are they going to replace the Jelly Belly?
Back on their Facebook page, many have been complaining about their customer service. :(
This month's box:
M.ASAM - Perfect Teint
Full size 50ml @ $42, sample size 5ml @ $4.20 M.ASAM - Magic Fini
Full size 30 ml @ $38, sample size 5ml @ $6.33
I think the Perfect is a primer & the Magic is a tinted moisturizer. They smell great so I can't wait to try them. I like the cute containers. Once I am done I can reuse them. I received both of M.ASAM products where as some received Anastasia miniature lipgloss. What did you get?
Nu.Me - Feather hair extensions
Full size 3 strands for $25 = sample size
This company was featured in MyGlam Bag. I am not sure what to make of this... ???? speechless
I seem to have the same reaction as others on their youtube videos. The instructions looks complicated & I don't have extension pliers. Maybe there might be a video to show you how to put it on.
Ocean Nail Polish
Full Size 15 ml @ $12 = sample size
Pretty nail polish. Glittery. It does not dry as fast as I wanted them to :(
Total worth of this month's box $47+
The Bottom Line
My experience with this month's box - 3/5
Product received - 3/5
The surprise - 3/5
Favourite product received - M.ASAM products
Overall reaction - Hey! Why do some people received more products than I did??? Where is the jelly belly replacements??? This box has improved from last month's box. They have a long way to go to redeem themselves...
Did I mentioned I have an addiction to hand creams :)
Last month I "liked" L'Occitaneon their facebookpage and received a free hand cream worth C$12.
Who does not like FREE samples!
I have never tried their products until that day I went to pick it up my hand cream.
In addition to the free hand cream I receive 15% off regular price any item in the store.
Everything is a bit out of my price range but I guess that is what you pay for items made in France.
I used the coupon to purchase the full size C$30 hand cream because I fell in love with it.
Also, I received more free mini samples because I purchased an item at the store.
They had fantastic sales reps. They were so nice and very helpful.
I have yet to try the mini samples.
My favourite box subscription has arrived!
They have the best customer service.
They actually read comments and feedbacks - unbelievable right?
Guess what! They actually deliver on time. Why can't the others do the same?
This month's theme is makeup again.
This month's box:
mark. - Stay On Lip Stain
Full size 1.5g @ $12 = sample size
Never heard of the company but it is nice to learn different cosmetic companies out there. I like the applicator of the lip stain. The colour is perfect on me.
mark. - Mini nail polish
Full size 2.7ml each @ $8 = sample size
The bottles are really cute. The colours are pretty, great for any age group.
Make Up Forever - eye makeup remover
Full size 100ml @ $28, sample size 25ml @ $7
This will be my first product to try from Make Up Forever. Some people received the mascara which I don't need any more at the moment. I have some I have to go through first. Others received a Cargo eye shadow. What did you get?
Redken - Shampoo
Full size 300ml @ $15, sample size 20ml (10ml x 2) @ $1 for both Redken - Conditioner

Yeah! I love bonuses & I saw these at Walmart and wanted to try them.
Total worth of this month's box is $32+
The Bottom Line
My experience with this month's Topbox - 5/5
Product received - 4.5/5
The surprise - 5/5
Favourite product received - mark. lip stain
Brownie Points - Arrived on time without delays & a bonus product, YEAH!
Overall reaction - YEAH!
I have been their subscriber since Novemberand so far I have been pleased with their services.

A hand cream review.
I have been using Herbacin hand cream for years.
This is inexpensive hand that works for me.
It is available almost every drugstore so it is easy go to when I need it.
Sometimes when I go out and found out I forgot my hand cream I just grab this one.
I have so many other hand cream but I always stock this one up when they are on sale.
Is there a hand cream that you love?
I purchased this at Holt Renfrew when I had a $10 gift card to use.
I was thinking of getting the larger size but it has been ages since I have used this cream and I don't know if I will like it.
After a few days, I can't seem to like it.
It might be the winter weather because it is very light and does not hydrate my skin enough.
I will try it again during the summer months.
If I don't, I could always give it to my mom. :)
Having kids going to camp this summer?
One way to reduce missing items is to label their items with Lovable Labels.
What's new this year is you can have two names (split pack) with one value package for C$49.95.
With each order you receive free Lovable Lunch Labels.
To top it off, if you use my discount / coupon code CeciliaCLB1 you received 10% off *.
For more details, check out their website.
*I receive reward products when you use my coupon code at Lovable Labels.*
I love hand creams.
I love Fruits & Passion's Nourishing Butter line of hand creams.
They are C$22.50 each but one day they had a sale - one item at 40% off.
It was so hard to pick just one.
I love the smell of Monoi's Nourishing Butter, it is so addictive.
I hope I will see that sale again.
The other day I wanted dye my hair reddish brown.
I picked up L'Oreal Paris Feria.
I have never used this brand before.
I usually use Clairol's Hydriance brand.
After following the instructions and 30 mins later...it didn't do anything.
Not even a hint of reddish.
I am not sure if it is my hair (thick & black) or if it is the product I bought.
I am not please since I wasted my money and time.
I guess I should just stick with my regular brand.
